Tam, without having to go thru ur pages cause TT keeps crashing!! Did you stick to your 4k electronical budget and will you have much more to do after handover?? I was going thru my thread and seen our conversation about electrical budgets. Mine ended up being $7k plus coral elegance package inclusions the total electrical cost was 12k. We will have more to spend and will find out on Thursday when we meet with the electrician. I really didnt think i went crazy...except for the x4pillar lighting out front!!
We spent $6200, so was $2600 over. And we still have our data cabling etc to go! Plus we spent another $2000 on buying the actual lights and fans!

Hi Tamara I've just come across your thread we're also building on acreage. Would have loved to of built with Coral but being first home owners we had to go with a different builder as our budget wasn't that big. Can't wait to see how yours comes along! Hehe I have been watching your thread. The people next door to us are about to build a Dixon. They have some really good plans. I did have a look at them but went with Coral because we had had a good experience with them previously. I also love the daydream plan!
We finally had a bit of action on our block. They have started prepping for hubby's shed slab. Was a little bit exciting Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Share

We went with Kam construction in Jimboomba. They were a lot cheaper than everyone else.
We are just waiting for our bank to email the authority to commence construction and then we will be ready to get out start date. Our shed builder called our CSO at Coral and it should be ok if we get our shed build while they are building the house. Initially we were told we couldn't. The slab is being prepared for the shed but hubby didn't think to ask when they will pour it or even construct the shed lol.

Hubby tells me Titan were the cheapest with the quotes he managed to get back. Hope its a quality product after we build up site which had taken 3 truck loads of deco so far plus nearly 1k in bobcat charges!! Think we are around 30k for the shed (4bay, 4door, 2 remote, think standard height)

Ours is just over $22,000 for 4 bay, 4 door and hubby increased the height. Our quote from titan came in a lot higher.

Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck?
Thanks
Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder…
In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask…
Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
