You'll be so relieved to move in. Are they going to pay for your therapy, now? They bluddy well ought to! Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 25... 3650Jul 16, 2017 9:50 am aloenyx I'm in love with your bricks Will be awesome to see them cleaned. Sounds like you got a bit happening next week. I found picking blind fabrics so hard!! Though I'm happy with it now.. I felt like I needed the furnishings done first. I have a rough idea of what I'm wanting but I'll know that'll change once I see what I have to choose from Dani_J Yay for reaching lock up Charli! Boo for not being able to get in anymore!! I was like seriously annoyed I couldn't get in, in my mind I never thought we would reach this point but in a way I am relieved we've made it to this point because it means we've had progress em-n-craig Lockup means progress but sucks not being able to get in hey. Place is looking fantastic tho Yes so excited for the progress we've had, bummed to be locked out though, first world problems hey cant decide Finally lock up!! It's great to be at lock up but sucks to not be able to get a good look at everything. Great to see things finally moving forward. It looks so big and open with lots of natural light. Wish I could afford to live on acreage, maybe one day.... Your brick work looks awesome, love the colour. It looks like the tradie takes a lot of pride in his work. I really like the flush mount sink I didn't even know they existed. I hope your kitchen gets there sooner rather than later, I would be pulling my hair out if I had to face delays like you and alonex. So glad we went with the big windows, our SC tried to talk us out of the big windows telling us they're no on trend or some sh!t but I'm a so happy I went with what I wanted. Can't wait to see our bricks cleaned, I love them so so much, worth the $4k extra we spent to have them. I'm praying our kitchen is only 2 weeks away max, I'll probably cry when I see it bribiebell Lock up stage is torture lol... but im very glad you made it https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell It's such a bittersweet moment, love that we've made progress but being locked out is depressing lol MrsJM Holy crapoly!!! Look at that progress! They certainly aren't stuffing around now! Feel your pain about the door handle. We had the same issue! Only as you know they never fixed it and so we didn't reach lock up until the day before handover lol I am sure yours will be fixed in no time! C U S T O M. C O R A L. B R O N T E. 43 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=79581 Like you, I never thought we would actually get to this point, it's so so depressing, especially because every time I've been out there I've found mistakes or things that need correcting Looks like I'll be leaving a window open so I can get in and out Milestone Wow what a shock you have gone great speeds now Yes I was quite shocked at the progress we've had considering GJ trades don't really like to work more than 2 days a week Hopefully PCI for 25th Aug is doable, little depressing though that our original PCI date from the contract is next Friday, damn you Debbie causing rain days jessicagauci Omg loving it! Looks sooooo good!!! Building the Denver 29 with Metricon https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Thanks JG, I'm loving it too, nothing on your big beauty though bouncingberry Our builder used a cheap temporary door lock ever since lock up stage because he said he doesn't want our new door lock to be overused and abused by tradies, also he will let those tradies have the temporary keys. Who knows what will happen to that key while the build is going on, imagine if it's your real proper key. Your SS could be applying the same principle. Also, leave two windows open. They might lock the one you opened, at least you have another one. It happened to us. Good point about leaving more than one window open, knowing my luck I'd leave 4 open and still be locked out Our builder uses construction locks so the trades have their own key and the builder changes the locks over just before handover to our locks, well that's what I was told so I hope that's the truth Christoshizz + 1 on the flushmount sinks. We changed to our original choice of flush mount Corallake Going great guns CB!!! Thanks CL, I just wish you could have some progress too, I'll share my trades with you just for you to have some progress rosemi Lockup! Woohooo! Btw, looks like they're ready to start tiling the bathroom... Thanks sweets, the tiler did say that tiles weren't yet order or something so who actually know when they will start tiling. I'll be out at the house on Friday with the blinds people so I'm going to try request to have our tile meeting then so I don't have to take more time off work because work is an hour away nicolawhitelaw Yes progress, we've actually reached lock up after 6 months of building I may not need to to start a Lynch mob after all JayaJaya So happy for you that it's finally cheering along - it will be so good to see after all the kerfuffle. You'll be so relieved to move in. Are they going to pay for your therapy, now? They bluddy well ought to! I'm so ready to move in now, I want to my bloody house I might send them the psychologist bill and see what they say Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 25... 3651Jul 16, 2017 9:51 am We have trades working on a Sunday, they are digging out our tank pad ready for delivery tomorrow Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 25... 3652Jul 16, 2017 12:20 pm Yay Charli! My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 viewtopic.php?t=86114 Thanks RM, it was very frustrating not to be able to go in yesterday, but still nice to see some progress such as the skirting board on/most finished and water proofing Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 25... 3657Jul 16, 2017 4:45 pm vonsta76 So excited to see some more progress!!! Hopefully I'll have more to more on Friday Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 25... 3658Jul 16, 2017 7:45 pm Lock up!! Super exciting but frustrating at the same time lol That's what happened with our keys, they used the construction keys right up until handover. Apparently when he put our key in it drops a pin and theirs don't work anymore. He did show us his didn't work which was good... Sort of wish it did so they could come and actually fix some issues! This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 17183 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10260 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9432 |
