I think we will stick with the Ashlite half. I've been to the QLD display more times than I can count and have seen it throughout different times of the day and really loved the colour in person. Those photos you posted above look much greyer than the photo from the PD website of the Waldof Grange. They said the Victorian display was Ashlite half but it wasn't. Just be careful the QLD display doesn't have the same error, calling the full strength the half strength. Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 532Nov 24, 2017 12:39 pm Hi Guys, Just so you are aware we went ashlite full strength and it looks as the display in Greenvale. Asklite half is creamy, i will take pictures and show you guys when i go there over the weekend. I love the ashlite full look...... Porter Davis Waldorf Grange, 50 Grand Lounge Room Grand Theater Room Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 533Nov 24, 2017 12:50 pm Yeah I thought the ashlite half looked a bit creamy on the little colour cards at WOS, but seeing it on a large scale in person as per that photo I posted above, it really doesn't look creamy at all. This is from the back. We were really torn between going a darker grey or lighter grey, but because we are building by the water, we felt the lighter grey really went with the bayside feel of our area. My advice is to take a render sample and place it against the house to ensure the display home is correct. - View my blog at http://www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 536Nov 24, 2017 2:23 pm Waldorf_Grange_Build lilbza Yeah I thought the ashlite half looked a bit creamy on the little colour cards at WOS, but seeing it on a large scale in person as per that photo I posted above, it really doesn't look creamy at all. Wow is that an open door in the middle of the void windows? - View my blog at http://www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com No it's just a window I love the cladding and moulding around the rear. And the white balcony. And the lights either side of the windows. I think that looks much better than the Vic display. If I knew those options were available I would have added them. Is the whole top floor cladding? - View my blog at www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 538Nov 24, 2017 2:30 pm Waldorf_Grange_Build Here’s another pic of the Ashlite. That's probably a good idea. I think because we are continuing the weatherboard cladding the around the entire top floor, having 3 different colours will break up the grey a bit We have gone the same as the photos I posted of the QLD display which are: Pebble Grey 3/4 strength for the cladding Wattyl White for the moulding Ashlite half for the render EDIT: Yes we've also gone the same as the QLD display with the rear terrace balustrade to match the front of the house. We've also gone with the wall mounted lights at the rear also. We also had the option for the timber feature posts at the rear for the terrace and alfresco, which we have done as well. I should probably start my own build thread actually. Our build is due to start in January.
