Sy 3May 11, 2016 12:26 pm Hi Bella, I can't recommend any building inspectors in Sydney but I would urge you to get a competent and highly skilled building consultant to have a look at the slab for you. Builders will understandably try and downplay any problems that are going to cost them money to fix so you need somebody you can trust in your corner. Make sure that whoever you take on can give you references from satisfied clients and that they have qualifications in building and construction. Never ignore your instincts. If you feel something is wrong, pursue it. Re: Construction inspectors recommendations? Slab issues? Sy 7May 12, 2016 11:55 am Hi Bella, I'm in Melbourne so I can't direct you to anyone in Sydney. Have you looked through the Yellow Pages and rung a few of them. Or maybe there is another thread on Homeone where somebody has recommended an inspector in Sydney? But, even if they come recommended, check out their qualifications and ask for references. I wouldn't be trying to inspect the slab yourself unless you have building experience. Take plenty of photos though. They may come in handy later on. We are about to commence a new build I and Iām reading about defects along the way. My question is should we employ a independent building inspector to come in and… 0 5237 12 5318 That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81847 |
