Browse Forums Building A New House Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 702Nov 19, 2016 12:36 pm Went to view the house last night. Missing windows are in and walls are plastered. Sat for ten minutes on buckets just listening to the sound of nothing... On anothee note we went to the pool shop and saw this in the garden and decided this is what we want. Just have to wait till weve built the house to apply for finance. Have you seen the GJ display in Pimpama? One of them reminds me of your kitchen - dining - living area plan. Loved it! Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 704Nov 19, 2016 4:49 pm Thankyou yarraland. It was based on the TSV display. http://www.gjgardner.com.au/townsville- ... 3-442.aspx We didnt see any other displays prior to this. Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 706Nov 19, 2016 5:17 pm I love the family room, I have this image in my mind of enjoying the rest of the children's childhood. Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 707Nov 25, 2016 1:58 pm Not much happened this week. We have architraves but no skirting boards. A delivery of tiles and the roof boards. Heres a few new pics and the garden looking a little smarter. We are now locked out though a few windows open. Nothing has been done worth sneaking in for. Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 710Nov 25, 2016 3:53 pm There is plenty of room for us, which allows us to have zones, The side access is for our dog and we dont have to worry about him making a mess of the main garden. The laundry area will be there with a dog door and he can access inside if needed. The garden nicely wraps round the house giving us areas that we can zone. The patio area will lead onto perhaps a decking area and pagola with a built in bbq, TV installed and an area to dine and lounge. The corner of the fence will be a concrete lagoon shaped pool with twisty slide and tropical plants. By the lower window now in the family room I want a sunken trampoline surrounded by grasses and a tropical wooden gazebo. We have lights on the exterior pointing down on the tropical plants which will be outside the windows and visible from the inside. Past this is a turfed area, which will be the childrens area, with soccer pitches etc. I love the windows, I love how they contrast against the white walls of the house. I like that there is a mixture of functional windows, square windows that open at an angle and my favourite the louvres. I am so excited to see the sticky tape taken off and for them to be cleaned up. Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 711Nov 26, 2016 8:58 am wow!! loving your plans - please make sure you continue to post your landscaping once you're in!! lol I'm excited to see the whole home evolve - otherwise known as Kym - Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 713Nov 27, 2016 8:20 pm Wow they sound like great plans. Good luck with it and can't wait to watch it come alive. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 714Nov 29, 2016 10:18 am I didn't get a picture buy after a flying visit last night I can see the tilers are present. They have done the rear patio and the front porch so far. The bathrooms look all waterproofed so hopefully that will start today. Difficult having blacked out windows haha, I cant peep inside. We are only tiling wet areas, the main flooring in wooden planks. Kitchen booked in on the 6th for installation but my tap has been delayed on delivery till the 2nd December so hoping it arrives soon. Scary thought, knowing my kitchen in in the midst of being built! I wish I had time to go and visit it! Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 715Nov 29, 2016 10:25 am Can't wait to see progress photos! Do you know if they black out the windows when they start doing the internal stuff? I am wondering if they will do something similar for us, Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 716Nov 29, 2016 10:29 am They are darkened glass because of the heat and the sun here in Townsville. I wanted them all darkened for privacy too. Makes it very difficult to see into the room unless there is a light source inside. Re: GJ Gardner - modified Peninsula 255sqm 717Nov 29, 2016 3:37 pm Hi towns, your house is looking great! I think I saw your tiles in a display last weekend, although they were smaller than I imagined so maybe not. They were really cool anyway!
