Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Dressing room fitout with Mainvue/Henley 13Apr 29, 2016 10:26 am Just watch out that there's considerable variation in wardrobe fitouts, both in price and quality, and one doesn't necessarily imply the other. Some places will waste a lot of space with drawers that leave empty space behind them, and most don't have full-extension runners so it's hard to fully use the drawer. So watch that the storage is efficient rather than just using up the space and looking pretty. This applies as much to the builder as externally, but externally you have more choice. Excellent points onejohn. Thank you. I will definitely keep that in mind, especially the drawer thing. Re: Dressing room fitout with Mainvue/Henley 15Apr 29, 2016 10:46 am Aegean430 Hi all, I'm curious as to whether anyone has done their dressing room internals post handover? I am looking to build the Aegean 430 and the cost for Mainvue to fitout both dressing rooms is over $7k. ($3,500 + $4,200). I know they are quite large, but this does seem excessive. Any advice/information on providers would be great. Thanks. Just sticking my nose in because this one was a hard decision for us too. We compromised.....we are having MainVue fit out the master with the Advent robe fit out...about $2500 from memory. We deleted the shelf and rails from the minor bedrooms and will do post handover. We just thought it would be nice to move in with master WIR already done. One less thing to worry about after handover! Good luck with your build. We are building a modified Ivory 436. Slab was poured 9 weeks ago and they are fitting cabinetry already! So quick Re: Dressing room fitout with Mainvue/Henley 16Apr 29, 2016 10:59 am Thanks Saintgirl, I totally agree with having it ready when we move in, but there will be 2 (quite large) dressing rooms in the master & $7,400 for both for some melamine shelves, drawers & hanging rods seems ridiculous to me. I'm trying to save $ anywhere I can as atm my upgrade total is over $130k & I'm still only at quote stage! Lol Hubby can do kids rooms so I might delete all of it, try to get a bit of credit & do after. Estate guidelines state cannot get certificate of occupancy till driveway done, which we'll also do ourselves so will prob get robes done then. Good luck with ur build too, soooo exciting! Where r u building? Dressing room fitout with Mainvue/Henley 17Apr 29, 2016 11:20 am I agree about the ridiculous pricing!! You sound like us. We were almost $115K over base price on a single story We are doing a KDR in Parkdale. It's been quite a ride...good and bad. A nightmare during the planning phase but a very smooth build so far. viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: Dressing room fitout with Mainvue/Henley 18Apr 29, 2016 11:27 am Well that's the part I'd much prefer to go smoothly. Glad to hear it. I'm enquiring about pools atm along the side and right next to the house so waiting on the piering cost for that. It's really tough to reign in the upgrades, this will be our "forever" home so trying to match up the picture I have in my head with the budget is tough. I'll definitely read ur thread with interest. I wish u the best Dressing room fitout with Mainvue/Henley 19Apr 29, 2016 1:45 pm in the wardrobe I have adjusted the top shelf to 2m. After handover I will just add to the existing one mainvue provided. you can get shelves made that will slide under Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond.
