I know how you must feel, my mums done full knee replacement op too. And she needs the replacement on the other knee soon as well. Did she do both or one? Rehab can take a while but i think before and after difference is amazing so hang in there Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 764Jul 07, 2017 9:38 pm She did one knee op. as advised by her Dr she does not need to do both at the same time. Her left knee is still good for two more years. In two years she will have another op for her left knee. She spent two days at Hospital and 14 days at rehap .... My dad also had a full knee replacement 5 years ago. He was up and about (on crutches) the next day!! Although I think it is a while before they can drive. Hopefully you won't be the gofer for too much longer.. His knee is perfect now though. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 766Jul 10, 2017 10:23 pm I run into SS on site this morning and managed to question too many things I wanted to know. 1. When brickies are going to start again? Will start as soon as scaffolding is lower down, Scaffolding people should have been there this morning to fix it. And no one turn up to fix scaffolding. 2. I inform SS no one from Head office call us for Tiles appointment... so SS called up someone at head office in front of me and this afternoon we received an email from " Tiles Direct Sydney" Now we have to call Tiles Direct Sydney to make appointment, I can't check out tiles till August as hubby will be on oversea trip and I'm staying over with my mum as she recover from knee op. 3. I also asked about if skydome was going to be installed by tilers ( I know they don't do it... just playing dumb so I can get answers out of SS ) His reply was "Oh That!! I can arrange the skydome company to come and install it soon". 4.When the electric pole will be coming? His reply was " miss the boat" ohhhh I had to know how its miss the boat!!! I wanted to laugh but had to control and be serious! He wanted to have the electric pole to be installed before the scaffolding go in. Now will have to wait after scaffolding come down. 5. I did question him about planting trees near sewer pipes. His advice was not to plant any large trees with in 2sq meter of stormwater pit AND do not plant any trees close to foundation as large invasive roots can go under slab and lift up foundation and break slab. I will reselect my plants selections. I'm very happy that I managed to get info from him. Just kidding Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 768Jul 13, 2017 6:52 pm Brickies are back on site...after a long break from our site. I did manage to ask the boss when they are going to finish bricking. He is aiming to complete by end of July. Going slow as he is teaching young apprentice. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 770Jul 14, 2017 6:24 pm shazaw I should learn how to brick laying... I can help him out to finish off my house quickly.... Later I can do bricking fish pond and garden paths. Extra skills are always a good thing to have!! Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 771Jul 21, 2017 5:13 pm SS called to confirm one more week of bricking to do. They are working 6 days a week. As per SS more bricks will be delivered on Monday. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 773Jul 26, 2017 8:40 pm They have run out of main bricks!! bricks should have delivered last Monday ....and when I passed by today to check ...still no bricks!! Brickies said they needed 4000 more bricks. They are currently working on brick piers at the front of the house, which use red colour bricks. Just as well they have something to work on. Your place must be Massive. 0_0 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 776Jul 27, 2017 7:10 pm That's so disappointing, getting the brickies back will be tortuous. We are still waiting for them to come back and rebrick the garage pillar it's been 5 weeks now Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 777Jul 27, 2017 8:05 pm Are you for real trimum. Are they at least working on internals now? Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 778Jul 27, 2017 8:12 pm No still not finished externals yet I just don't know what more we can do to expedite things. Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 779Jul 27, 2017 9:52 pm ehhc 4000 bricks?? Your place must be Massive. 0_0 Not massive. They delivered small batches at a time. One third of 4000 will be waste... they throw away lots of brick, bricks with small chipped corner and some bricks has small crack lines. Not sure if I have choose the right bricks... too late now. Too many bricks goes into pillars too. The green bin is full of unusable bricks. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 780Jul 27, 2017 9:55 pm I know what you mean about wasted bricks!!! I collected heaps of the 'rejects' and took them away. They are still good for general garden edging and stuff. We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 36901 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 18895 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13301 |
