Crankier by the second... I'm about to call the builder and then possibly the council... wish me luck! ok edited - that was a quick phone call. Admin contact has left for the day and will be back tomorrow. The council are getting picky about putting calls through to DA team... see how i go... - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 504Sep 13, 2016 4:23 pm I hate when that happens, DAs after yours get approved first etc - just do it fairly - in first out first. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 505Sep 13, 2016 4:24 pm Argh how annoying for you! <a href="http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=84823">KDR Brisbane South</a> Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 506Sep 13, 2016 4:37 pm i agree Shell!! feeling mighty flat this arvo i have to say... we are only priced out till the end of this month which means we need a slab before then otherwise we will get hit with a price increase if it wasn't for that i don't think i'd be as nervy as what i am but this whole time constraint is completely shattering my patience - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 507Sep 13, 2016 7:38 pm Kym you need to tell the council about the price increase! I did and I ended up being made a priority...you'll need to put it in writing also. Can you call them first thing in the morning? Ask your builder to write a supporting email for them stating the date the tender will increase Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 508Sep 13, 2016 7:43 pm Chin up hun it'll get sorted. Can you see on the DA tracker who the council staff member is handling your approval? I'd be asking for that person in particular xxx thinking of you and sending cyber support xxx Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 509Sep 13, 2016 8:41 pm Thanks Dee. The builder has been calling them asking for updates because of the time constraints so they definitely know. The officer listed on the tracker has done her bit and now it's been put through to her supervisor for signing off. I have no idea who that is. :/ I was just talking to my SC on fb and she said that it will be any day now. I've questioned whether or not she thinks we will make the tender deadline of Slab down. Will wait and see what she says. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 510Sep 13, 2016 10:57 pm God I hope so! Surely they give a little leeway if it's only a couple of days over. It's not your fault...how agonising that you're so close! I'd ask that girl that was handling it if you can actually speak to the supervisor incase there is something you need to know as the deadline is so close. Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 512Sep 14, 2016 6:49 am Thanks Dee. Yeh I'm hoping like crazy that if we are a week over that they will still keep the same price. Thanks Charli. I'll be stalking that determined section all day. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 513Sep 14, 2016 10:14 am So if your da goes over you get a price increase? Isn't your contract set price? Wow no wonder your stressed. I had signed my contract October but didn't have site started until March - I would hate to have had a price increase during that - that could have stopped us there. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 514Sep 14, 2016 10:23 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's done!!! Yep so in our contract we were priced till the end of September. To lock in the price tho you need a slab down by the end of tender pricing. So if we had of had a slab before the beginning of this pricing period then we would get a credit. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 517Sep 14, 2016 10:59 am Great news.. Congrats Kym! So excited for you Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 519Sep 14, 2016 1:13 pm Surely now that they have over two weeks they can have the slab ready. Our finance went through one day and within a week we had bricks! Our build was different though with no slab as such. Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 520Sep 14, 2016 3:00 pm Thanks ladies. I have breathed a massive sigh of relief today. Hopefully they will receive the documents by Friday to send to private certifier and bank. Hopefully we can be handed over to construction next week some time. - otherwise known as Kym - hi guys.
