Re: Great southern 2.5 acre new family home 251Apr 12, 2017 2:23 pm Milestone Love the kitchen, when completed you should advertise it to be used into commercials. I live in a country town so not much advertising going on around here but thank you ... I'm probably going to live in this space Re: Great southern 2.5 acre new family home 252Apr 12, 2017 2:25 pm RegVic Amazing kitchen... one of the best design choice I have seen.... Thank you reg, we are soo happy with it... everyone doubted the design at the beginning thinking it would be too traditional and country but I think it looks awesome Re: Great southern 2.5 acre new family home 253Apr 13, 2017 1:52 am Love the kitchen, is this something you designed or did you use a kitchen designer Just tweaking ours, and your cupboard finish is what I have in mind, sort of country meets modern hamptons. We are building on acreage as well. . We are building on acreage as well. I can pm what profile on the doors and what paint colour and finish we used we originally had an architect draw it up then had a kitchen meeting with the kitchen designer Re: Great southern 2.5 acre new family home 255Apr 13, 2017 4:59 pm Thanks that would be lovely - I have chosen that shaker style, we are using our own cabinet maker to install our cabinetry so I still have time to tweak. I am considering cup handles, but my husband not a fan, so will wait and see what I can talk him around on. I have a big scullery area off the kitchen (was orginally a study on the plans) and the access way is a 'false' pantry door if that makes sense. My ceiling height in this room is 31 course so just deciding on whether to go all the way to the top with cupboards, fit a bulkhead or leave the top section open (dust collection is deterring me) My builder is supplying the stone bench tops so have locked that selection in. You are building in a gorgeous neck of the woods - we both loved Mt Barker region, but settled on Chittering to be closer to the kids and the Grandies. . May i ask... what brand/type of fireplace did you install and how did you come to the decision on choosing it over say a jetmaster? Hi Gummz, Thankyou.. We ended up choosing the clean air zero clearance large Edwardian built in fireplace upstairs and the morso 1410 for down stairs. We looked at fireplaces for a very long time... it was a very hard decision to make... morso was a perfect choice for downstairs as there is only 120sqm down there and it is aesthetically pleasing and price is great... it's a little pocket rocket... the clean air we chose for upstairs which is 280sqm. It burns great and cleaner which is important to us and we wanted a big viewing glass panel... tick also for zero clearance and for price you really can't complain... reviews are good. We did look at a jet master and cheminees philippe but we liked the fact that the clean air ticked all the boxs of what we needed.
