They don't show on our plans They were not on my plans either - but when they sent my the final Studio M selection I noticed it mentioned floor drains and I queried about it. They did not have any in the display home, and I wanted it nice and clean like the display home! The reply I got back from Metricon was: We are required to add a floor drain to any area with a bath. It’s important to have it there if something goes wrong with the bath the plumber can use the floor drain to unblock the bath. Also required to the Laundry floor if the washing machine leaks. I just accepted it, and never thought about getting it changed to the tiled drains This is from my colour selections document: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with Metricon 6076Sep 10, 2017 1:56 pm Drew01 There are drains in the laundry and bathroom floors?? Or is that just where Metricon order them through? Just the supplier, however as Drew says the warranty does lie with them, so that's why they've inspected. They've already been into our place, see pic below - they've written on the walls what needs fixing. PVbuild, What was your gutter issue? My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Hi Renman There is a noticeable difference in the width of the line of tiles on the right hand side by 15mm and the same for the row of tiles at the back of the bathroom. So the tiles at the entrance start at say 15mm wide and if you follow the right hand side wall, the tiles increase to about 30mm wide at the end. The tiler has gone out of square. There is also significant lipping of a wall tile as you walk in. It is a terrible tiling job. All of the top tiles are not cut straight and there is a lot of inconsistency in the gaps between the tiles. Though our main focus is getting the floor tiles fixed and square. It's frustrating because we paid to upgrade our tiles to large porcelain ones and we paid for the extra labour on top of that. We also upgraded our bath to a free standing one. I don't think they have done any justice to the upgrades we have paid for. Which is very disappointing. Will it be a blame game. Tiler blaming that the floor and room is not square and it's not this fault ? A really tiny thing.. but annoying. The guttering people left flashing off one of the gutters that attaches to the brickwork, so water is getting into the porous brickwork. They also have to correct the angle of that gutter so that water flows correctly to the downpipe. Jess's tile issue sounds far more frustrating than our gutter issue. My SM is pretty patient with me too; he knows we go on the site every day, and is quite ok with it. We're up to tiles and not once have we been unable to get inside. How did you know that the angles was not correct? Can you show me what the flashing looks like? I'll double check our place My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: Building with Metricon 6080Sep 11, 2017 7:41 am Renman PVBuild Renman PVbuild, What was your gutter issue? I will; when the flashing is complete! Hi, First of all, thank you to this community for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
