My small person is getting excited now Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 83Jul 02, 2015 7:58 pm Excellent news, looking forward to seeing slab photos!! Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 85Jul 04, 2015 10:47 pm Does anyone know if the soak wells get done next? Also, should they have done cement footings for the carport? The builder still haven't told me I am out of scheduling, so the fact I have a slab already is pretty good me thinks Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 86Jul 05, 2015 12:26 am Yay, Looks like a good one too!! Congrats!! Not sure about soakwells, seems to vary. We had ours in once the roof was plumbed. Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 87Jul 06, 2015 8:50 am Smiley that is AWESOME! Congratulations I'm so excited for you and the LO. I've been told slabs always look small so don't let it worry you Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 88Jul 06, 2015 10:40 am Exciting times Smiley! They're not wasting any time! Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 89Jul 06, 2015 1:51 pm Thanks all for following my little house build. Drove past this morning and the soakwell is going in. On the way home my CLO rang to introduce herself and to see if I had seen that I had a slab and that soakwell was going in today. Bricks are a couple of weeks away. I cheekily asked what's a really rough handover timeframe and she said February??? I really hope that is worse case scenario, it's only an itty bitty little house. My lease ends early December so it looks like I am going to need an extension. Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Land Settlement :) 90Jul 06, 2015 4:47 pm Well, that's not too bad, considering the Christmas break. Some companies don't have as long off as others, and with some, only the office staff have a longer break. I guess you can ask if they start back January or not! doesn't hurt to ask! Re: My first build South West WA - slab and frames 93Jul 14, 2015 7:47 pm Today we have a power box there has also been three sheds delivered to the rear laneway, hoping one is for my house. There is also a toilet at the front of the house two down from me. That was all there at lunchtime today, just drove past at 5 and my block and two others have all been cleaned up. All the excess soil has been levelled and spread. I didn't take pictures because there was still two bobcats going backwards and forwards between the blocks. Bricks must be so close now? We had our frames delivered before we even had siteworks hehe. I LOVE your colours they'll look great! Don't second guess they're gorgeous Re: My first build South West WA - slab and frames 97Jul 15, 2015 8:27 pm Thanks MalSannie and Kellie Drove past tonight, no bricks but there is a bobcat loader (don't know it's proper name), wondering if it has been left overnight to unload bricks early tomorrow?? I can dream and wish. I had a rent inspection this morning, my property manager even got excited when I gave her an update. I love my PM, she is fantastic Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - slab and frames 98Jul 16, 2015 11:12 am House colours look great, can you post a front elevation so we can see where they go?
