As is the floating bench look which is stylish and cheaper! I've been considering this too but am finding it hard to find good pics, know of any you might share? viewtopic.php?t=72683 Re: Waterfall ends 6Feb 10, 2015 8:26 am Personally I've seen too many waterfall ends. When they first became popular I though wow that looks nice but now I'm not so sure. Like anything in interior design - colours, finishes in particular, it comes down to personal choice. Stewie Yeah I'm starting to think a little the same, I also see that shelves, drawers, power points and other useful things can be added without them. I would also like to see some pics of some nice alternatives. Re: Waterfall ends 8Feb 10, 2015 1:54 pm CuttingEdgeKitchens I love waterfall ends, they really make an island unit especially if you have a seated area with an overhang. Yes it can be nice with an overhang, our bench is sketched on plans as 3 x 900 (I think). 900mm seems wide good enough for a decent overhang? We just wanted something a little different. What I like about that one is the black accent. not sure what that is exactly Re: Waterfall ends 14Feb 11, 2015 9:43 am Charlston01 trixee Charlston01 Still hot. You don't necessarily need the open shelves if you want it cleaner but the bench is very nice Re: Waterfall ends 16Feb 11, 2015 7:49 pm I know, awesome look hey? We sadly didn't get to do the floating bench cos I wanted the stools to go under the bench, and so I needed the overhang. Which is a shame cos I love the floating look!! Re: Waterfall ends 17Feb 11, 2015 11:25 pm Personally I love my waterfall ends. I hid power points at the back up high where the barstools go. Re: Waterfall ends 18Feb 12, 2015 6:32 am We went with waterfall because..... ....it was included as part of our extras package. lol We also do like it.. particularly my wife. I think it brings the whole kitchen together but we have a small-ish kitchen so maybe waterfall ends aren't as "hot" for bigger kitchens? I don't know.. if you walk into a display home with waterfall ends and go "Wow!" like my wife did, then get waterfall ends lol Paddington 29 @ Blue Horizon Estate (Lot 105, Wattleridge Crescent, North Kellyville) Our Build Progress Blog: http://light487.wordpress.com/ Re: Waterfall ends 19Feb 12, 2015 11:47 am Heh good advice light. We are gojng for a custom build and they have a cabinet maker im sure he will have some ideas Re: Waterfall ends 20Feb 12, 2015 4:47 pm It was mine, sold it. Building another almost exactly the same but a little larger. Might do a different benchtop though, we'll see what Granite is available when we go select it. |
