Have u bought everything yet? @ Orph build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Dream Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney)! Hi Orph Its on hold - plan is to spend time on it over the Xmas holidays, so not a priority atm. Landscaping still not locked in! Met with this landscaping guy last weekend - he was meant to send a quote, and no word from him since. Got a driveway and side path's quote - $20K!!!! $142 per sqm. This same guy had said it costs up to $130 per sqm! Overall I was expecting something like 15k - 16k. Meeting another driveway person next weekend, and a landscaper the following week. I better lock it in ASAP Haven't looked at electricals either - I think I need to set myself a deadline on when I want to do it by - otherwise I will never get to it, and will have a million things to do over the Xmas break /quote] I found that just about everything is around $100 sqm. Our exposed aggregate driveway was $110 per sqm when you include a new water table (ie. The actual part across the gutter). Artificial turf was also around $100 sqm but we got a nice that doesn't look too fake and is plush. Coloured concrete down the side of our house was 70 per sqm and grey about 55. The granite about 110 sqm laid. It's looking great with the doors, architraves etc. Painting has started tiles delivered but the tilers are too busy and may even have to wait for the new year :O Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Metricon Glendale 38 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&p=1298363#p1298363 Selections: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&start=60 Tiles - p25 Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Lock up 1190Nov 25, 2015 8:11 am Ps the cabinet colour appeared to match the laundry jericho today. Makes me think if we should have put sliding doors to our pantry too. Oh wells too late now Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78449 KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Lock up 1193Nov 25, 2015 10:22 am Gorgeous!! Love the timber doors I can see cavity sliding door in the sitting and butler's pantry and somewhere else?? Lovely Glad your cabinets are all sorted, I was worried for you, if they had the wrong ones it will be a real pain to change it. Wow tilers are too busy till next year!!! Yieks so looks like we won't see any tiling done this year either . Seriously wondering if a mid/end Feb handover is realistic. Oh well no point worrying about things we can't control!!! Your place is looking gorgeous mona, you must be pleased. What colour is your wall colour? viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Lock up 1194Nov 25, 2015 12:08 pm Mona what colour stain are you getting for the internal doors? @ Orph build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Dream Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney)! Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Lock up 1195Nov 25, 2015 7:39 pm Thanks Orph, Rose and Franky The timber sliding doors are to study, pantry, and hallway. We got a door in the hallway as we want to be able to close the door e.g. to contain heating and cooling. These doors, the stairs, and the front door are being stained rich walnut. We wanted chestnut originally - but the Studio M consultant was too busy to find out which of the display homes had chestnut! I believe that Glendale at Edmundson Park has chestnut. I am so pleased we didn't go through with the first tender as the Love Luxury Promo (which includes 3 timber doors) is so much better!!! Walls are going to be Whisper White, and ceilings, architraves, skirtings will be White on White. @Franky - May be SM was just under promising re tilers not being available (at least for our home until the new year). As I understand it - M advise Dilorenzo when the job is ready to be released for tiling - and then Dilorenzo deliver the tiles and send someone in. If they didn't have tilers why would they send tiles, and leave then out on site in the open? They are packed - but why would they do this if they weren't ready to tile =/ On another note - stone benches are apparently being delivered (and possibly installed) tomorrow! SM still can't tell us expected handover, as it depends on what is left to do in the new year. He said he will try show us the home before Xmas - but depends on how busy he is =/ Metricon Glendale 38 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&p=1298363#p1298363 Selections: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&start=60 Tiles - p25 Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Fixing stage 1196Nov 25, 2015 7:45 pm I agree with the glass timber doors! We still need to get exhausts for upstairs bath and ensuite so regert not getting thru vacarro - not sure what I was thinking Wondering if I can still call them and ask them to install? turns out that SM won't be going through and checking the electrical plan.
