Is this common knowledge? I only got mine then because handover was a day or two later. However I doubt I would have been covered if anything happened to my appliances that I owner supplied as there was no lock on the door lol. I think you would be best to check with your insurer whether they would cover you pre handover with tradies having universal coral keys. Any contractor who works for coral or coral employee, has a universal key that lets them in to all coral builds. This kind of thing might impact your insurance. When do you go away? Have you thought about how you're going to verify PC has been reached on that day? I'm worried that they will just sign it off without you to stop the liquidated damages M Y C U S T O M C O R A L B R O N T E 43 ...............Kitchen! 16 Nov 2016 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79581 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9973Nov 03, 2017 7:10 am MrsJM Corallake We have been told that we should get Home and Contents insurance from PCI. That is our argument with Coral and PCI while we're not there. As far as insurance is concerned, our bank manager actually suggested it so in the process of sorting that out. I thought it would be Coral's responsibility until handover but obviously not. I have just received an invoice Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9975Nov 04, 2017 6:27 am Hi Guys Did you get charged for stormwater, wastewater, water and electrical connections? If so, would you mind sharing how much? I read in the inclusions that an allowance for these is included. In my tender letter i have 4k of fees for these connections :/ Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9976Nov 04, 2017 7:42 am Dylandbrooke Hi Guys Did you get charged for stormwater, wastewater, water and electrical connections? Fixed price contract includes connection to services. What is their justification for extra costs?? I wanted to check and make sure that no one else had these costs in their tender before I ask why im being slugged extra. So im guessing you don't have connection costs included in your tender? The fixed price includes land up to 600m2 and ours is 632m2 - surely we aren't paying 4k for that extra 32m2. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9978Nov 04, 2017 6:01 pm Did anyone get the Franke sink and Dorf mixer like this one? It's the same as the my choice display. They have mounted it on the sink instead of the stone as was listed in the contract. Want to check if it is stable enough?? Have to agree here ^ Our design consultant insisted on stone mounting our mixer because over time they do apparently become loose when basin mounted. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14099 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4335 |
