She was really great. Knowledgable, helpful and let you think about things as much or as little as you want. I had her as well - she was awesome ☺ Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9457Aug 15, 2017 6:53 pm Wanting to hear from anybody who has modified their plan to have corner stacking sliding doors (without a post in the corner) and even better, with screens incorporated. I know the grange plan can be modified to have this. What did you have in your tender letter regarding these doors? Mine are aluminium framed boutique stackers by A&L who do a lot of doors for coral. I asked for flyscreen doors as well (have it in an email to my sales consultant to add them in before he ordered the contract) and A&L have a typical sill detail for this - they used to clip and extra track but now they have a single track that takes the screens as well as the doors. With a week to go til PC and the screens missing from site I decided to ask my SS about them and was told they weren't in my tender/contract. There are two line items in my final tender regarding this door. 23-1 under external modifications and 29-4 under finishing items (after all the other screens on the job). On the day of contract signing, my sales consultant said finishing items are contain all the screens so because I saw an item there for the boutique door I figured the screen had been included. Then I think the story is that 29-4 is just the wider track to take screens but not the screen doors themselves. I find it difficult to believe that the track would cost $2000 so questioning that. Anyway keen to hear from people who've done this what your tender letter said. Yep so yours is bigger than mine (2700 long on one side) but yes the boutique comes with a higher price tag so that seems right that yours is a bit less. This is helpful thanks. So thefinishing item in mine must be just for upgrading the track to have two more channels - I don't feel like it would be $2000 extra for a slightly wider track. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14021 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13718 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1676 |
