Were currently waiting for council approval and have completed our tile selection. We had our heart set on wood grain tiles which we selected (heartwood walnut) We have been told that they will only lay this a square stack and not a staggered lay!!! has anyone else come across this?? Anything we should look out for come colour selection time. Wanting to stay within the designer range!! Hu and welcome! You should check out Becs Coral's thread, Im positive she has the woodgrain in the brickbond pattern. Good luck with your build! _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8918Jun 29, 2017 8:05 am bribiebell dougang287 bribiebell

Why does Coral think it's acceptable for us to pay a full progress payment but the work is done wrong and in their words we will sort it at the end? Oh no. What has happened? Post about it on your page im keen to hear whats going on x https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell
bricks on one wall a different colour - brickie even said he thought that when laying but carried on. Windows in ensuite installed obscured should be clear. Wet area tiling - not flat around bath where you jump in, shower floor has a chip size of 5 cent piece. Under my vanity the 600 size tile I have paid a heap for isn't laid flat and sticks out like a sore thumb
Oh wow, i knew the brick issue but did know about the rest....cant seem to find your thread unless you comment on it grr I hate tt sometimes!! Thats is not great news, On the other hand your build is flying along... i dont even have tiles completed yet https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell
when did Yu start? What no tiles at all?
The tiler layed floor tiles and only half are grouted. The house sat empty for almost 3 weeks as it was empty for a week before tiler arrived and has now been empty for another 2 weeks. To be honest I think the tiler had his cranky pants on as he had a dig about our ss and complained because our cabinetry had not even started. We went past last friday and happened to see the cabinetry guy on site it was late in the arvo and he had not long got there. He told us he got a call and said it was urgent so he was back on site Saturday and finished it on monday. SS said we would have bench tops on and tiles completed this week. Its thursday and none of these are done yet. We are completely locked out now. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell
far out! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8919Jun 29, 2017 9:27 am Hey all, We got the email yesterday that our land is now in council!! Any idea how long this process generally takes from the developer lodging the land with council to get to registration. Thanks Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8920Jun 29, 2017 12:12 pm Ryalls_first_build kandd Hi all new to all of this, my husband and I are building the grange 23 on the NSW mid north coast. I have saved photos as a reference and will take up with tiler when the time come I guess?!?! You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14105 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4346 |
