cool, thx.
I made the trip to beaumont tiles caboolture store just now and had a good look over everything, and the lady i spoke with was incredibly generous with her time.
I was even able to find all 3 tiles we used for our current home, AND the chocolate lava tile (silver sticker) we have for our bathroom floors was used on a store mockup bathroom directly next to the timber-look tile that caught my fancy (gold sticker 300x600 heartwood walnut).
So being able to do a direct side my side comparison was incredibly handy.
now it's just a matter of working out the proper combos of bathroom floor and wall tiles to make it flow well with the living area floor tiles. (considering some sort of combination using the heartwood series of walnut, eucalypt & white)
i was leaning towards bathroom walls and floor being the same tile this time around, but worry it may seem the one-note.. i can see the benefits of highlighting the shower niche doing such a design, and having a benchtop that also pops out from any potential monotony.
the walnut tile is also someone similar to the vinyl plank flooring we used current home, and we love it, but with the coral promo, it would have to be done by 3rd party and would cost us an extra $5000-$6000 - and i'd rather spend that $$$ elsewhere this time around.
Some of those 600x600 rectified tiles are truly stunning.. .no wonder they're used in so many display homes... but i gotta draw the line on price somewhere.
the fun has only just begun.
We have the heartwood white in all our living areas and looooove them. All the upgraded tiles in our house, bathrooms and living cost about $2000 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
