Apparently they have been inundated with work, so I'd say we just need to be patient even though it's quite frustrating. There's only so much patience a person can have, especially with a final date being 1 month ago. But the end is near and I will be so glad to not deal with coral for a long time. We are now on week 8 of waiting to just be submitted to council!! Does anyone know how we address if a start date isn't given by the date in our contract? Our standard response we receive from Coral is that if it's the owners fault we may have to pay them more money but if it's Coral's fault they can just extend the contract, which really doesn't seem right or fair to me!! They had our plans in construction for about 6 weeks post contract signing and Beaumont can't do our paperwork without the changes... Colour apt was weeks and weeks and weeks ago- still no variations. So much for 10 day turnaround. Rebecca is amazing though and is keeping me updated. I just want a start date already ! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2580Nov 04, 2015 9:55 am Has anyone got any photos of how they poured concrete against the termite slab edge? I'm wondering if the concrete can cover the termite edge or whether it has to butt up against it. Driveways/porches/side paths etc. Our concrete is getting poured on Monday so I need to figure something out by then... You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14372 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14635 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4617 |
