I didn't mind the copper either. If it was blinding during the day it would help all their plants get plenty of sunshine

Re: The Block? 44Aug 25, 2014 12:29 pm bpratt Just looking at those high ceilings to their bathrooms in Melbourne, and was thinking how damn cold they must be in winter, even with the underfloor heating, they'd still be drafty and cold. I agree. Brrrrr.. I feel cold just looking at them. Re: The Block? 45Aug 25, 2014 4:50 pm joannek I really like it when the real estate agent gives feedback too, as he really knows what the buyers want. I like John McGrath too. He just says his bit without the theatrics. But I guess he's not a design guru/extraordinaire or whatever darren's claim to fame is. Shaynna is too over the top for me. Gets excited over nothing. Re: The Block? 46Aug 25, 2014 7:50 pm We have wall to ceiling tiles in the wet areas and even though tha ceiling is at normal height I find it really cold .so I cant imagine having a ceiling 31c let alone that high . I did like the orange paintings though . Re: The Block? 48Sep 01, 2014 12:38 am Loved Michael and Carlene's laundry! That sink tap was gorgeous, not sure if I could justify spending a grand on it though! Re: The Block? 50Sep 01, 2014 1:38 pm Happy that Michael and Carlene won - thats one room win for each couple - will be interesting tonight to see what the buyer's think of who has the best apartment and win the 5K! Re: The Block? 52Sep 01, 2014 6:48 pm Gee my laundry is positively dull compared to these. Love the drying cupboard - such a good idea in an apartment. Feel a bit sorry for Chris and Jenna but with Chris being a cabinet maker, maybe they'll redeem themselves this week with th e kitchen. Re: The Block? 53Sep 02, 2014 6:38 am I started watching last night, then fell asleep..... (I'm always so tired.) I haven't watched for a while, there are some great design choices being made. Very dark and moody. Good for them! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: The Block? 56Sep 07, 2014 8:19 pm Loved all the kitchens. I did disagree with Darren when he said a kitchen should have one massive sink, rather than two or a double, because the purpose is to wash things too big for the dishwasher. I find you need two sinks as you can soak in one while you wash glasses or something in the other. Or use one for the rinsing? With one big sink you have to use a lot of water too. Hmm what does everyone think? Re: The Block? 58Sep 07, 2014 9:28 pm The boys and Michael and Carlene were worthy winners I thought... All kitchens were great though and very luxurious.. Ps Still dislike Dee and her attitude that she is above everybody design wise is really irritating! I didn't love the funky artwork but I'm sure it wouldn't put off a buyer. There was something really special about Max and Karstens room. I loved that. I felt sorry for Chris & Jenna. The room just wasn't right. Maybe it was a bit dark? Re: The Block? 60Sep 15, 2014 7:56 pm NOOOOO! not a timber bath!!! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com 6 11152 Yes it had a house on it. But Melbourne water only wanted something the original size of the existing house. We managed to fit a 45sq house on. 10 33668 4 4499 |
