Love your colour choices Re: Monte Carlo/Bellevue - HGWA - Lock up 82Nov 05, 2015 12:12 am Hi all, It's been a while since our last update, been super busy with other stuff so haven't been able to update the forum. Anyway, we're getting pretty close to the end now. We're told that our job has been booked up until the end of November, with carpets going in then. After that they will do their quality control inspection before our practical completion inspection. All going well we should be able to complete handover before HGWA shut down for Christmas (23rd Dec)! Since our last update, we had the tile meeting which went well. The tiling itself took about 2 weeks although there was some outstanding skirting tiling to be completed in the Laundry (we think they ran out of tiles). Last Thursday the skirting was done however just needed grouting. Other items to tick off the list include, robe/linen/pantry shelving, as well as the garage door and floor. We're hoping to see some more plumbing work completed next time we visit (gas hot water unit, oven and possibly toilets had been delivered), as well as electrical work, insulation (supposed to be going in tomorrow) and more painting. Here are some pics of the inside. Love the tiled seat in the shower Re: Monte Carlo/Bellevue - HGWA - Lock up 86Nov 07, 2015 11:19 pm Thanks everyone! We had another look today and were surprised with the amount that had been done in the past week. Since our last visit they've installed the hot water unit, oven, toilets, tapware, shower screens, sliding doors to robes/linen, fly screens, insulation, light fittings (including downlights), light switches and are currently in the process of doing the final paintwork. The front render has now been painted and we think it looks great! For the past couple of weeks it must have had the undercoat/primer painted on the front render and we'd wondered if we picked the wrong colours. We're also super happy with the stained front door! Here are some pics from today. We weren't able to get in, so just photos through the windows unfortunately. Also, the colours look a little off in some of the photos. The meeting went well, started at 7:30am and were done by about 10:30am. No major issues were found, mainly cosmetic issues like paint touch ups, mortar to clean off bricks, drawer not closing properly and a chipped floor tile which needs replacing. Assuming no issues with the final payment going through, we should be able to pick up keys by Wednesday the 16th, or Friday 18th at the latest. Prior to us being informed of the PCI meeting date, Home Group WA decided to send our final account and stated it needed to be paid prior to the 4th of Dec to avoid missing the bank's cut off date. This was both misleading and incorrect (we went to the bank and they actually told us the date for processing final payments was the 11th Dec, not the 4th). After chasing the client liaison officer for answers (our usual contact was on leave) and not getting anywhere we asked to speak directly to the site supervisor. He was able to advise that he'd asked for the final account to be issued earlier so that the bank could sort out their side of things first and then it would just be a matter of us sending through authorisation for final payment after PCI. It would have been nice to have been told that from the start rather than trying to scare us into paying an invoice before it was due and before we'd even been informed the house was practically complete! Anyway, we did the PCI today and were happy so sent through the final payment authorisation. Looking forward to getting keys next week! We don't have any good photos to update you all with (forgot to take them during PCI). Once we have keys and have taken some better photos we'll post them here. 1 4660 |
