We originally only needed retaining on the right hand side but we decided to level the backyard which require extending the wall all the way to the side boundary and return along the back boundary. Not cheap but we're happy to have a level garden.

It's partly our fault as we keep adding more features but we also have to fork out more money for unforeseen issues eg more retaining and drainage. Cost is now roughly 15% of house build.
