It's good to see what these colours look like in real life as they as similar to what we chose. Look forward to more pics as the house progresses Re: Dale Alcock | The Stoneleigh @ The Vines | TILING! 66Apr 23, 2015 7:36 am housebythewater Just found your thread via a google image search - love your colour selections. We are installing blackbutt floors after handover too. I'm wondering how many metres you are flooring and how long you expect it to take. We have nearly 300sqm including a stair case and we've been told 5 weeks! I will be watching yours with great interest! Hehe housebythewater when I read your name I couldn't help but sing it to the tune of smoke on the water... 🎵🎶 house by the water.. We have just over 200m² and I think they're allowing 1 week. I can see stairs taking a long time but 5 weeks is a bit rough! marmot Look forward to more pics as the house progresses Hopefully more pics this weekend. Re: Dale Alcock | The Stoneleigh @ The Vines | TILING! 68Apr 25, 2015 5:09 pm We went up to the house this morning, a bit under the weather after a family wedding yesterday but I was keen to see what was happening. Not a lot over the last two weeks really, but it's still ticking along. Most of the tiling has been done: Ensuite Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And shelving/racking has been installed in the dressing room: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Excuse the black mark on every photo. My iPhone lens is effed. They've also hung the sliding door to the theatre room. It's a bit odd to me that it's the same width as the doorway and so there's a small gap that you can see through on each side when it's shut. I always thought they were wider than the doorway? Oven, toilets and HWS have been delivered and they've started marking up where the splash-back is going. Apparently we're just over 4 weeks from PCI so hopefully they pick up the pace a bit from here. Re: Dale Alcock | The Stoneleigh @ The Vines | TILING! 69Apr 25, 2015 9:23 pm Tiling looks great mixzOr! The contrast of the 2 colours looks great Ensuite shower looks huge! Love the custom dressing room too. You must be looking forward to seeing everything come together in the next 4 weeks. Hopefully everything runs smoothly for you Re: Dale Alcock | The Stoneleigh @ The Vines | TILING! 70May 04, 2015 1:16 pm We had a productive week last week with securing a lot of items required for after handover. Carpets have been chosen & will be installed after handover. The lighter carpet is for all the bedrooms and study and the darker one is for the Theatre Room: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We've ordered our Theatre Room couch from At Home Furniture, we've customised one of their existing couches and can't wait to see how it turns out. We've also ordered our window coverings from The Blinds Gallery - Shutters to the front windows & Games Room void, PVC venetians to the wet areas, and block out roller blinds to the minor bedrooms. Just need to sort out some sheers for the main living area & games room sliding doors but that can be done easily after handover. We managed to get an outdoor setting I've had my eye on for ages on sale a little while ago too. The only catch... they couldn't store it in the warehouse! So we now have a spare room filled with the 10 chairs and the 3m long table is living in our carport! Not ideal but happy we saved a few $$$ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The pool deposit has been paid and the paperwork for the shire is going in this week so should be all good to go for installation as soon as handover happens (hopefully only 4 - 5 weeks to go!). We've chosen this pool - http://www.wafibreglass.com.au/fibregla ... -murchison We'll go have a look at house progress this weekend, am really hoping they can meet their PCI estimate of end of May Re: Dale Alcock | The Stoneleigh @ The Vines | TILING! 71May 04, 2015 4:36 pm Sounds like you have got a lot done over the past week!!! LOVE that outdoor setting, do you mind me asking where you got it from? It looks really good Also love your carpet choices, like the idea of going darker in the theatre. The shutters will look great along the front, we are hoping to do the same thing with the window finishings Sounds like you have been so organised with getting your pool sorted, post handover should be a breeze for you! It's a bit odd to me that it's the same width as the doorway and so there's a small gap that you can see through on each side when it's shut. I always thought they were wider than the doorway? Woo hoo PCI soon! From what I can gather about sliding door from our recent experience is that the door itself should be wider than the opening so that there are no gaps when it is closed. For example, we have a sliding door (pelmet type not cavity) and the opening is 820 and door itself measures 870 in width. Are you getting everything done straight after handover? We're trying to get as much done as possible straight away with the exception of the air conditioning, liquid limestone to the pool area and glass pool fencing. That will happen in a couple of months (not looking forward to the ugly temporary pool fence!). We're also enlisting family to help with the decking to the alfresco & front verandah, hoping that we can tee that up so we're not waiting too long but will need to be flexible with their dates available Re: Dale Alcock | The Stoneleigh @ The Vines | TILING! 80May 05, 2015 9:08 am solrak I think maybe this Friday???
