SS didn’t leave his usual voicemail last week so I’m not sure if we’re still on track for gyprock this week but electrical and air con rough-ins have been done. It’s starting to get really exciting and I am driving by the house every chance I get. I quite like the portico concrete colour it will be surfmist but I’m thinking a light grey driveway. I was checking your timelines and looks like you had slab poured in September - so 5 months including 1 month of holidays - that's a great progress. your front portico looks big, and rendering has really lifted up the looks significantly. Thanks! We are still thinking about doing more render post handover to the balcony, or a rendered panel perhaps, but will wait and see how it all looks once finished. We are 18 working weeks from slab (taking 2 out for Xmas shutdown as that’s all they stopped for). I think PCI is usually around 3 months from gyprock so fingers crossed. We’ve had work done every week apart from the week that the slab was curing and 2 weeks when all that was done was adjust scaffolding, so happy with the steady progress. The quality appears great too, I’ve noticed one chipped brick on the balcony that will need replacing and there will be minor touch ups to the mortar in places but now that they’re almost ready for gyprock the frame has been neatened up, extra noggins put in etc and everything is looking really good. Particularly around kitchen. Can we ask the kitchen guys to leave a gap at the bottom for laminate floor to go under the kitchen kick boards to avoid Scotia beadings. I am having waterfalls on the island bench, it may be difficult to avoid beading there. Please advise. I'm hoping to get a quote from them.. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9016Jan 29, 2018 8:35 am ASJ1981 Hi guys, when we signed the Tender last Monday, we didn't get a USB stick with all the info that you guys talk about sometimes. Things might have changed and they don't do that anymore... Anyway, it turns out we won't be able to fit our fridge in the butler's pantry as the measurements won't work So now will have to keep it in the original place - just outside the butler's pantry! Anyway, the cold water point, that is discussed in the Kitchen appointment right? Does not need to be specified in Tender? Hi ASJ1981, we have moved our sink and dishwasher to pantry, so we had put a hot and cold water point in pantry during tender, but it was removed and new calculation and data was added in color selection. Also water point for fridge, we put it during tender. In kitchen appointment you should already know where what would be put and and if you are changing any sink taps or other appliances. In kitchen they would basically design all your cabinetry, and bench top. That way they wont put on the kickboards until after the laminate is laid. You do get charged a fee for this. (Cant remember how much) We had to get the scotia around our island, Knebel wouldnt do the watergall edges without it. Elsewhere we didnt get the scotia. Attached a quick pic to show you ours.
