We had a 9K PA even though the rain water garden was 5.5m away. we got the PA back after the Water board approval.
So i spoke to Wisdom today and what they mentioned was that because they need to pier the rear of the house due to the pool being very close to it, they need extra depth piering and due to the extra depth in the rear, the entire house piers also need to match the depth and so it's about 45-50 piers that need to go further than the 1.5m of piering that's provided by wisdom.
If this is true, then the cost seems to make sense. I'll just bite the bullet and sign the fixed price one as i've been stung big time with my provisional allowance on the hydraulic detail which was a 6k PA, however the cost came to 27k so i can't afford any further unexpected cost out of this build.
That really sucks. They should’ve had a PA all along for extra piering for the whole slab if that’s the case, but not much you can do about it I suppose.
I hate it how they’ll send a huge variation through like that and you have to ask for an explanation! Like who would sign it off without questioning it?!
