Congratulations!
It looks a bit like a cute little cottage with the arched portico, love it...though I bet IRL there’s nothing little about it
Can’t wait to see interior pics!
Hope the move goes well

I wonder if it’s guaranteed or best-effort? Trying not to get my hopes up. How is yours travelling? Will you make it too? Seems the admin process does travel a lot quicker once DA/CDC approval is in place. I was certain with all the errors in tenders/plans to date that there would be mistakes with DEP and final construction plans. Pleasing to see I was proven wrong and they were all correct. Here’s hoping the process and experience for everyone from this point on is positive! We won’t make it. Haven’t gone through end panel yet and our bank won’t agree to the progress payments so we are starting again with a different bank. I’ve become so used to delays now I’m actually pretty relaxed about it all at this point. Just wondering how everyone else is fairing as they navigate Wisdom administration phase? We are at the end of it, still awaiting for final documents to sign off on, but again these last documents were promised two weeks ago and still nothing. We have seen engineers and construction plans, both of which contained errors which we thought were rectified months ago (but weren't). I'm sure our file has been sent back to drafters/estimators, placed on the bottom and slowly working its way back up to the top. Our CSO has gone quiet all of a sudden as well, and can't even advise whether the construction certificate is back with them (or even ordered) from the certifier. Given its 5 weeks until Christmas, pretty certain now that Wisdom don't want the file progressed to construction until the new year. Tender expiry is up, all due to Wisdom's delays, so things may get interesting if they come back asking for more $$$. It would be great to post on a positive note (rather than being downcast), but really so far there hasn't been a positive experience with Admin since we signed up with them at the start of the year. The Staff at the customer forefront are great, polite and try their best, its just the drafters/estimators in the background cannot keep up with the suggested timeframes and make silly mistakes. Oz. You are not alone. We started the tender process in april 2015. Our admin part was finalised and completed in September 2016. So yes it is 1.5 yrs of going back and forth but we have an unregistered land. It gets better though but depends on where you build. We do have friends building with other builders and they're normal build time stated in the contract is 40 weeks while wisdom is 30. So it's not just WH when it comes to delays.i Hi There, I notice you are both building with Wisdom Homes and just wondering how you are getting by with delays etc. We are having the same problems with admin. They don't keep us in the loop, no response to emails etc. We started the process in July, 2017, have finalised our plans and have been chasing them for 7 weeks for a contract. They just simply do not respond to our requests. We are now in two minds of about signing a contract (if we ever receive it) as we are worried that once we do, they will simply sit on it and not lodge the DA if the have too many builds going on and trouble keeping up with the demand. Can you shed any light on how long it took them to lodge your DA once you signed the contract. Any info would be much appreciated. You would think the bank would eventually just give in and agree to the progress payments given you already have your land loan with them (I'm presuming you do). WH progress payments don't seem unreasonable to me, pretty standard across the builders I've seen. Well, it's their loss! Hope everything works out soon! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 8300Nov 17, 2017 3:50 pm jess_123 ASJ1981 Hello there, I am new to the forum. And the past 2 weeks have just been reading posts and getting in as much info as possible! This forum/thread has such great info that i know will be invaluable for first time builders such as myself. I'd like to think that hubby and i are pretty "switched on", but after reading posts, i realise there is so much to take in and it's so overwhelming, so please bare with me if my questions/posts sound silly! My first question is this: we are building the Washington 26 and the kitchen is L shaped, but we really really want an island! Do any of you know if this is do-able or have done this sort of kitchen variation before and if so, what the price might be? I know we are sacrificing some bench space, but we can probably live with that, as long as the island bench is a reasonable size and can fit in at least 3-4 bar stools .. it's our "forever home" so we want to get it right WITHOUT going over budget... Also, Wisdom Homes has the Live Boldly promotion right now where you will get $15k bonus to spend at you color appointments which i am sure will come in handy for us. Do you think we can use it on updating to glass balustrades? Sorry for silly questions and TIA Hey Where abouts are you building your washington? We are also building a washington 26 and have just received our build contract so around the same stage as you! Hi, we are building at Newpark Estate in Marsden Park. How about you? Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment? We… 0 18473 In fairness nobody gave a crap about the ACCC and the gag clauses continued in the pro forma templates of a few other builders after the ACCC took on Wisdom, and more… 19 73522 Hi Everyone, I am exploring builder in NSW and received a very tempting quote from Wisdom home for their momentum series. I just want to know experience of building… 0 8241 |
