Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6894Aug 07, 2017 8:46 pm So, we finally had our PCI today! It took 3 hours, and that was with us already being prepared with a list of issues! Our SS was actually really good. Didn't rush us at all, and helped us to mark out all the paint defects that need touching up. Some other issues were incomplete mortar in some areas, a leaking pipe, staircase needs restaining, cabinetry not lining up in certain areas, incorrect cover plates on some switches, roller door not closing correctly. The one big main issue is that two batches of render have been used on our facade and the colour doesn't match. Our SS brought that up straight away and said they might need to erect scaffolding and re-render the whole thing. We have another final inspection in 2 weeks time and he's hoping most items should be rectified by then. Here are some pics of the carpet as it was the first time I'd seen it. So glad we upgraded the underlay. It feels so plush! We have gone for the same carpet with upgraded underlay so looking forward to the cushiony carpet... Is the masterbath going to have a glass there eventually? Can't wait for mine to be done... we are at gyprock stage at the moment, with a new SS being assigned to us this week .... Building Ambassador 36 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6900Aug 08, 2017 10:51 am Beyond frustrated with Di Lorenzo. 3 weeks ago I requested a requote after seeing what was on the construction plans. DL advised it would take 2-3 days. Ended up taking nearly a week just for our consultant to clarify what we wanted, which was really not complicated. Requote then came back obviously wrong as the price of some rooms had gone up huge amounts, once it was fixed we accepted straight away, last Tuesday. Chased up our CSO yesterday for final docs and they still haven't had correspondence from DL. So looks like we won't be out of production estimating until September now I suppose it wouldn't be right going in to construction until completely defeated by the admin process!
