What is everyone up to??? Maybe its all the main contributors are finished or just getting started? Our framing is ongoing and windows delivered. Progress has been pretty good so far and work done everyday. (I have probably jinx it now) Some snaps from last night, not the best of photos but... More on my blog link below. What is everyone up to??? Maybe its all the main contributors are finished or just getting started? Hi, we are now 6months in admin and WH have only this week submitted for developers approval. All colours, flooring, kitchen, Air Con etc signed off. Just a waiting game now. Good luck with the final stages of admin. Apart from slow, how have you found the admin process to date? Building WH Manhattan 44 Ensuite Production Estimates: 13 Nov 2017 DA Approval : 25 October 2017 Contract Sign: 28 May 2017 Tender Sign: 24 April 2017 Request for Tender: 22 Jan 2017 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6794Jul 25, 2017 2:15 pm amf139 ozmonkeyoy Its all gone pretty quiet around here lately. What is everyone up to??? Maybe its all the main contributors are finished or just getting started? Hi Oz, Demo finished. We are still waiting for some sort of update from W... no draft end panel as yet... So we are using this time to replace some palings in the rear fence and had a macadamia tree removed (with council permission) cause our middle daughter has a severe nut allergy. That was another battle with council. It would have been within 2 metres of our alfresco area and they said it must remain. A Dr certificate to verify our claims was all that was needed to change their minds. Your place is looking fabulous. I'm loving your tile selections and can't wait for the next lot of photos. So you are getting much closer to a construction start if selections are done and you're close to draft end panel. After all of the dramas, any expectations on construction start date, or you don't want to jinx yourself? We have an appointment with WL on Thursday, so am hoping to talk them into allowing us to have a sneek peek inside the house as well. Really hard to get any pics of anything once lockup happens. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6795Jul 25, 2017 3:09 pm Thank You ozmonkeyoy & mrsllamas2016 Just ordered all possible samples from ceaserstone, laminex & polytec. We got our revised tender with floor plan last week. Been waiting for W to find a suitable alternative for the Rain Water Garden & RWT. Its been a month since registration of our land. Things that I found out all by myself 1. There is no overhead cabinets on Bulters as std 2. Aircon upgrade, we need a PA for that (at least in my budget) 3. We need to build a retaining wall as a part of landscaping 4. Portico is smaller than what we thought and we have to live with it now as change it would mean another 1.5 month of work I am hoping that W get back to us sooner with a plan & tender with no mistakes so we go for contract & appointments. The construction to start by Nov at least but it seems like a dream with the delays. We will definitely going for DA rather than CDC so fingers cross. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6796Jul 25, 2017 6:18 pm We have upper roof on and first floor bricks cleaned. Eaves and upper downpipes are in and painted. It has been ages since I posted - partly because our epic journey that has been our build started to get me down, and also when I did jump on here to check what was going on I became totally overwhelmed by the hundreds of posts I had to catch up on! I am happy to say that I am now up to date on posts and really happy to see everyone's progress! And also a big welcome to the new members - wishing you all a stress free and speedy build! So a quick update of where we're at: we finally have a PCI date! Woohoo! 7th August, making it a a whopping 48 weeks since the start of construction!! Somehow, Wisdom has claimed 59 days (3 months!) of contract extension which means they won't back pay us. Has anyone asked for a breakdown of what is included in the days over? We really don't care at this point, we just want to get in. And I doubt they'd write 'incompetence' as a reason! Lol! Anyway, apart from the original issues we had with the incorrect facade plan being built, we also had tiles run out that took forever to source, incorrect placement of AC vents that needed to be moved and patched up, balcony rendered in the incorrect colour, stairs stained incorrectly, just to name a few. There is still work to be completed ie. carpet, caulking, etc. but we're getting there. It is better than a display home. So happy to hear you have a PCI date but honestly, it's taken them a year, they can not claim 59 days in rain and Xmas shutdown, surely?! I think that's mega cheeky. I hope your beautiful home is worth all the anguish it's caused. Can not wait to see it finished, and your pool!
