Talk to your builder and ask if you can paint some areas of a wall to verify your colour choice. Re: Surfmist, Windspray or Dune Roof... seeking some wisdom. 5May 14, 2014 9:03 pm Go the Dune for the roof. The surfmist shows all the dirt and after 6 months or during a dry spell looks dirty all the time. Windspray is a nice colour, but it doesn't lend itself to the associated choices for colour to fascia's gutters and exterior wall colour. For a better look, go to colorbond.com and go to residential colour charts. steve@everlastpatios.com.au www.everlastpatios.com.au Re: Surfmist, Windspray or Dune Roof... seeking some wisdom. 6May 15, 2014 7:31 pm Hi C, We chose Dune for our roof which was installed last week, and we absolutely love it. We wanted to go light colours for the overall scheme of our house and have Dune gutters with Surfmist facias. Our cladding will also be painted Surfmist. Our bricks are PGH Cement, but not complete yet so there are no photos on my blog. Have a look at my blog for an image of the Dune roof. Re: Surfmist, Windspray or Dune Roof... seeking some wisdom. 7May 15, 2014 7:49 pm We have a surfmist roof on our current rental... It is absolutely filthy. All the dirt and dust and everything possible has just clung to it and made it look horrid. It does however look gorgeous when new & clean. Like most things white really! Looking forward to winter to wash some of the dirt & grime away. If it was our place, I'd be up there with a pressure cleaner by now. My dads shack has Surfmist windows, but he chose a woodland grey roof for contrast, I like it for windows, gutters and fascia, but I wouldn't have it on my roof. Unless I had time to clean it regularly... I'd go the Dune, it's lovely. I am nearing that time where I have to choose my exterior colour schemes and I am in love with warm whites and greys. I am tossing up between a Surfmist, Windspray or Dune colourbond roof. I cant seem to bite the bullet and make a decision and would love some ideas as to roof and render colours. I have a small frontage only 10m wide I have attached a picture of a similar frontage to mine except I will have a 25degree pitch roof and higher ceilings than this photo. Any ideas and suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. C What did you decide on? I chose surfmist, but changed to dune at last minute. Dune seems more practical, as in, shows less (slightly probably ) dirt, and not as glary in the sun Re: Surfmist, Windspray or Dune Roof... seeking some wisdom. 11Sep 03, 2014 2:48 pm I have surfmist . I love it .yeh it might get a bit dirty but at least years to come whe a roof fades you wont notice .but I guess thats with all light colours . Good for cooling a house down .hopefully when it rains it will get clean lol .then ill only have surfmist gutters to clean .ha ha . I think dune is nice to . I have dune gutters to match my render at the front .
