Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 17, 2008 7:13 pm Hi all,
The latest in the chapter of problems with our new home. We went past the site today to have a look at progress and i noticed that the lead flashing has not been placed around the exhaust outlet from our bathroom, it runs into the wall of another room then out to the roof. Consequently, given the rain today, water has been runing down both sides of the plaster wall and has also wet the insulation in the wall. Can someone let me know if the plaster and insulation should be replaced or will it simply dry and be as good as new? I do not recall signing on for water damaged plaster or wet/damp insulation so should i demand replacement? Regards, Ratter Re: Wet Plaster and Insulation 3May 17, 2008 9:37 pm how bad is the gyprock? normaly if that gets too wet it starts to swell and never drys out properly (it's one way of finding leeking pipes in your walls!)
Personally I would have them replace it all. All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush. Dunno how to delete this post, can't find any help file.
