It needs to be a powder room. That was one of my pet hates of so many designs we looked at. Stand alone toilets with no sink. Yes, sorry I forgot to put it down there, I have moved the entire Powder room to the other side, it is not a WC, I will amend it. Re: Sahara Q1 - Post handover journey 3237Aug 08, 2015 6:25 am mirz Neth04 Hi Mirz, I have done some amendments to the Mercer Q2 Plan incorporating WIRs to the three bed rooms. What do you think? I have uploaded it in your thread as it is read by so many and we are open to all innovative ideas. What we wanted was to make the three bed rooms bigger with WIRs. Original size for all three was 3000x3300. http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q628/Chandanie_Atapattu/Mercer%20Q2%20amended%20plan1_zpsxgltzgch.jpg Pls be my guest, there is no thread hijacking guys. It's all about knowledge sharing and helping out each other with building process. Here is my feedback on your proposed changes: I'm assuming you have three kids. Pardon me if assumption is wrong. Good to see that you got rid of bath tubs to make room for WIRs. Common WC should have basin for hand wash. This basin would give extra space for kids to wash and brush in those rush hours. In mercer as all three bedrooms are in a row, pls be careful with doors openings direction. I would suggest to go with mirrored sliding doors for WIRs. This will save space and more practical for teenage kids. Hopefully WIRs won't take too much room from upstairs open living space. but if that's the case, would suggest to reconsider WIRs sizes. You can make them slightly smaller and design them more practical post handover with custom fit outs. let's see what other members will suggest Thanks Mirz, yes I have three teenagers and presumably the living area will be the focus for their X-box and play stuff. So better to make the WIRs smaller. I just took the measurements from Sahara WIR! They have so many bags to hide, school, sports, Calisthenics stuff. Wanted to make the rooms bigger as well, by deleting the robes and adding WIRs, managed to make them 3000x3800. The earlier size was 3000x3300. I have moved the entire Powder room to the other side, not just the water closet. Didn't want to lose the sink as it is an added feature in Henley's! Downstairs, we turned the study to a guest, added a shower and removed the wall between dining and living room so we can place the piano in a corner. Also added a door to understairs storage. Will see what our Sales Consultant says! Re: Sahara Q1 - Post handover journey 3238Aug 08, 2015 8:05 am That sounds pretty good, must be very exciting to rejig to meet your requirements. Can't see any reason why not all these changes can be made in that house. In regards to sales person, stick to your changes and he/she will accommodate them. Sometimes sales people aren't that technical, so stick to your plans.
