Plumbing is being done next week along with the ceilings being sprayed and our cabinetry going in! So far we are happy with the build - one or two small issues but overall we love it! I'm currently deciding on over the kitchen bench pendents- I have found an industrial style hanging glass ball that looks very nice! ( so we would put three in) The bedroom pendents are purchased from beacon- got them half price! Re: Dandy's Redink Build :) 87Mar 19, 2014 1:25 pm Excellent!! Looking very good! My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Dandy's Redink Build :) 90Mar 21, 2014 12:16 pm Yep went out yesterday and they have the plastic on them- very thin looking stuff tho! Went out at 5pm last night and the ceilings and cornices were still being done! We waited for a while to see if they would finish but they were still going at around 6.30- didn't want to get in the way but I had a peep through and our internal doors had arrived!! So all the windows and sliders are in the ceilings are done the walls are all plastered, internal doors are there and we should have lock up today.. Pretty excited to actually get in and walk around with no one there Progress is good! Anyone know approximately how long between lockup and handover? Our cabinets are supposed to go in next week Re: Dandy's Redink Build :) 94Mar 25, 2014 6:00 pm So jealous of your block size! My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Dandy's Redink Build :) 99Apr 09, 2014 11:04 am So as you can see the tiling is done however they neglected to raise our bathroom benches as I asked in our prestart meeting Also they didn't extend the step around the ensuite bath as per plans... There are quite a few silly mistakes like that occurring even though I did mention it before the tiling or cabinetry started - just to remind them- ss said its on the plans and they will read them- apparently they don't. It makes me annoyed because now we are set back because they haven't looked at the plans- its quite simple stuff So now the ensuite cabinetry will have to be ripped out which means some of the tiling will too- I said just to leave the bathroom as I have a little boy and he won't be able to reach up anyway( he is only 7months but thinking of when he is a little older) so it will stay at standard height. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17518 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10404 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9559 |
