Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Plumbing installed 690Jul 26, 2014 10:53 am Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to bricks as well Really make the house take shape.... SS says we'll have a shorter final stage, due to no driveways, paths or flooring being done by them, so we are still quite the way ahead... I just maybe need the brickies to take their time a bit! Very much enjoying this experience! You've waited for so long you deserve it We got a sign on our block and that was exciting I can't even begin to think what it will be like when the build starts Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Plumbing installed 694Jul 26, 2014 11:10 am Oh thankyou Did you end up going with Rendition? Congratulations ) We got a bit annoyed with Rendition in the end, so much talking and planning with so little results. They wouldn't show us anything available in selections either... Argh You'll have to start a build thread, I'd love to see what youcame up with! As for the build thread...I'm thinking about it Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Plumbing installed 698Jul 26, 2014 2:57 pm I don't blame you... Something didn't feel right. I'm glad you're happy with your choice Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66299 Slab: 16/6/14 Frame: 4/7/14 Roof: 22/7/14 Lock Up: 20/8/14 Fixing: 26/8/14 PCI: 9/10/14 Handover: 20/10/14 Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Plumbing installed 699Jul 26, 2014 3:48 pm It wasn't the nicest experience to say the least! The sales rep at Rendition wasn't interested in what we wanted I had to argue about everything I wanted and in the end we realised we were the customers and that she should at least listen to our needs and wants which clearly she was not prepared to do (for some strange reason). Needles to say SS sales rep was fantastic Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Plumbing installed 700Jul 26, 2014 10:27 pm Oh no that sounds horrible... With ours, she was really nice but really new... Which was fine, but I always walked out unsure if she knew what I meant? I didn't feel confident she was sure of her answers and that she understood what we meant when we asked about things. Then the refusal to show us their selections gallery until we actually had selections after signing a pre lim, paying a deposit etc was just insane. I knew I had to like certain things or it was a no go, so without knowing what my choices were even going to be was not something I was willing to risk. Anyway! Glad you found a great builder and that you're happy and comfy. That's definitely a big help in all this Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66299 Slab: 16/6/14 Frame: 4/7/14 Roof: 22/7/14 Lock Up: 20/8/14 Fixing: 26/8/14 PCI: 9/10/14 Handover: 20/10/14 Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down.
