Thank you!! http://preludehome.tumblr.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13046Jan 06, 2017 7:15 am Masterton resumes work Tuesday 17th. I only just doubled checked our letter the other day ? Perhaps it depends on what location and what trades are available. Two questions whilst M is still on holidays () - we have a drop edge beam at the front/side of our garage - will they fill it (see pic)? - can I see pics of anyone's retaining walls? We have a few and are looking at the woodgrain concrete sleepers but unsure as it will be quite costly to use! Thanks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Unless they're also doing your driveway, I doubt they will fill it....... at least that was what happened with ours. Here's a pic of ours..... http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz241/GillyM63/IMG_1308_zpsjnqdwvyx.jpg As for retaining walls, we used fairly standard charcoal block type ones, plus we had leftover bricks so out the front we used them for garden beds..... here's some pics.... http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz241/GillyM63/IMG_2330_zps6muw4mo8.jpg http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz241/GillyM63/IMG_2899_zpsrxhrqc9b.jpg http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz241/GillyM63/IMG_2886_zpszf7uqvks.jpg http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz241/GillyM63/IMG_2878_zps2u00sjcv.jpg Enjoy your landscaping!!! Experience : see username Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13052Jan 07, 2017 3:30 pm We had about two pallets of bricks leftover...... our SS said we could have them if we wanted them. We used what we needed to build a couple of garden beds/retaining walls out the front, then sold the rest for $150. I'm a bit worried the PowerPoint is going to be blocked when the door is open and am wondering how I will open/close it if we have a blackout as I'm sure the cord is going there too. Was it yourself MGardz that had an issue like this? NJC, our garage door goes very close to the ceiling. We had to install downlights in the garage to avoid the door smashing the bulb. Ours may be not standard, as we could not have the door going half a meter below the ceiling like on some of the photos above, otherwise it would hit another obstacle, the mezzanine. 2014 30/05 $3900 25/08 Contracts 02/10 DA submitted 2015 17/02 DA approved 02/04 Colors 10/04 Demo 09/07 Construction start 27/07 Fill 15/08 Slab 21/09 Frame 2016 08/01 Bricks Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13056Jan 09, 2017 1:46 pm GillyM As for retaining walls, we used fairly standard charcoal block type ones, plus we had leftover bricks so out the front we used them for garden beds..... here's some pics.... He may have told us the name of them, but I can't remember! sorry!! Amber Tiles have something similar - it's called "Aussie Vertical". Hope that helps! jol0, the timeframe is in your "Building Contract for New Dwellings". Not sure if the document has changed much since we signed, but at that point in time, it was on page 3 (of 44) - item 12 "Contract Period". So, from memory, you get out of the pre-construction phase, then they have 20 working days to get orders placed, ss asigned, fence installed, port-a-loo delivered, etc, then the contract period starts.
