Have any of you done internal insulation (sound) between internal walls eg. between bedrooms and bedroom/bathroom walls. We have just paid the first deposit and the structural plans are being submitted. Are we suppose to tell them before they get submitted or can we do that later? The upgrades package looks like it includes Bradford insulation to ceiling, external walls and living internal walls but not all internal walls from what it looks like. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12293Oct 02, 2016 7:18 am Hello Jonafern we did. They looked like black batts. I can't remember what grade they are but they were soundproofing between the bedrooms. https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12294Oct 02, 2016 9:19 am We have it included Jonafern. I think they were R1 rating and it cost us around $900 which I was happy with! The rest that were included in our packages were an upgrade to R4! They should clean that in case it's damaged the surface. The "clean" they do isn't very good I used a magic eraser thing and micro fibre cloths and steam mop and it took most things off. Don't forget to seal your tiles/grout in the showers and kitchen to prevent soap/grease/mould PS blog updated w pics https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12298Oct 03, 2016 6:14 pm Thanks guys, we only got one rough clean a few weeks ago then had floors sanded so the place was disgusting when we took it. I had to clean everything from walls down. Unfortunately we couldn't wait any longer for keys so took it early. We have a flood of trades coming though tomorrow to seal skirting, finish flooring, attach bottom half of downpipes, shutters, flyscreens ect. First night there should be mid-end of the week Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12299Oct 03, 2016 6:39 pm I can understand that at least you've got something to really look forward to this week!
