I will be interested to hear how it goes. Not sure if it's normal but I can hear the water from the ensuite upstairs when sitting in the great room is there anyone in a 2 story with or without the insulation between floors that can advise.... No idea how long, the entire process has been a nightmare. If I wrote down what we have been through you probably wouldn't believe me. We haven't been given an end date, probably another month or two depending on how fast they work. It's honestly the worst experience of my life. The sales lady in our estate said its the longest build she has ever seen and she had been here since the estate opened 6 years ago! Problems everywhere and a SS who never cared (since got the sack/quit a few weeks ago). I do hope everyday that karma comes back on the employees who majorly stuffed up along the way and the company who just doesn't seem to care no matter how many times we prove that things have been done incorrectly or haven't been done at all! I'm so over it I have no words to explain it. I now have the patience of a saint due to this horrible build process. Was exactly a year since we got pegs early August! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12043Aug 26, 2016 8:37 pm J+H - I feel so sorry for you, you've well and truly been screwed over. Could you take it further like MGardz did ? Shire_Synergy - awesome progress does your SS update you with what is going on ? MGardz - looking fantastic! Is that theatre an actual screen or is it painted ? Hubby went and stalked our house at 5.30pm and the plasterers were still there SMOKING inside our house I better not catch them after lock up or I'll be saying something to them myself. Filthy dirty disgusting habit. I'm not sure where else we could take it. One of the CEO's knows about it and has done for 6 months. I think almost all of Masterton knows about the house of broken promises and how long it's taken to build. I called to try and start getting the liquidated damages to help with our rent but they said not till the end. Would be nice if they started paying people at the end of the week each week for liquidated damages. It costing us a fortune! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12048Aug 26, 2016 9:33 pm Oh J+h it's sad isn't it. Sometimes you think it's just lip service you get from management. Why does it take so long to build our houses and then go about arranging things that should have been done properly in the first place. SVE it's a proper theatre room. 110 inch screen w projector and full surround sound in the roof and front cabinet thing. It was worth a small fortune lol https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12051Aug 27, 2016 9:40 pm Sandra They are probably waiting for the termite people to complete their part before they come back and rain probably hasn't helped Hopefully you get some action this week. Your brick colour is really nice though just check for chips as they can be sensitive https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12052Aug 27, 2016 9:51 pm Sandra 2016 is that 7 weeks since they moved into construction phase? If so that's pretty good from what I've seen on here. We only had a slab 7 weeks in but ours is in a league of its own sloth like pace. I agree with MGardz looks like they are waiting for termite protection. You'll see a strip of plastic type material which will sit on top of that row of bricks when it's done. Hope for no rain this week and it may hopefully get done. Fingers crossed for you. If we had updates from our SS we would know what's happening but if i wanna know anything I have to drive past myself or text him. Brickies were due to start last Monday week then they didn't show till the end of the week. Then they were called off our job and was supposed to come back Thursday but then of course it rained. No 7 weeks after excavation day. They started frames 2 weeks after concrete poured. Shire Synergy's SS needs to teach a few of them how to do it...M is frustrating that's for sure. Which the plasterers are upstairs today working. Those that have done 2 story, was under your stairs gyprock ? Pretty bad hey. We only got to lock up, roof finish and brick finish 3weeks ago! I don't know anyone who has taken this long to build. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12060Aug 29, 2016 10:28 am WKVillina S-VE Anyone who is doing 2 story, have you insulated the roof cavity between top and bottom ? SVE this has been a topic for us recently, during the build we spoke to our SS regarding our creaking floors he believed putting extra screws into the floor would stop it, unfortunately for us that's not the case and you can hear the creak downstairs as well as up so I wander if we had put insulation in would it not be heard downstairs. We also had the thickest underlay with our carpet and it does not stop the sound. I wish we had gone with insulation between floors although am not 100% sure it would stop the noise. I also wish I didn't listen to our SS who claimed he would fix it and added the creaking floors to our PCI list, as I doubt m would attempt to fix it now. We are now 6 weeks in our home and are still waiting on M to finish the things that were meant to be done after PCI, we sent them the list yesterday and are waiting on a response, we could not afford to wait any longer for M to finish things that should have been done months ago but my advice to anyone thinking of building with them is NEVER sign PCI unless your home is ready to live in with minor things to complete because once you sign PCI you are at their mercy... 2014 30/05 $3900 25/08 Contracts 02/10 DA submitted 2015 17/02 DA approved 02/04 Colors 10/04 Demo 09/07 Construction start 27/07 Fill 15/08 Slab 21/09 Frame 2016 08/01 Bricks 4 16735 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16006 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20179 |
