Agreed, Bleaky those chairs are terrific and I love your floors. MGardz......lovely tiling so far. We'll have to look out for those wall tiles, are the dark ones on the nib wall the same colour as the floor but larger? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 10773May 04, 2016 10:22 pm Yes they are the same colour its also going to be the main floor tile downstairs I think they are 450 x 450. https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 10775May 04, 2016 11:05 pm MGardz - Was looking through your blog and am curious... did you pick the grout for your balcony tile or was that what they decided to do by default? I think ours is a very light colour and I don't like it as it stands out and doesn't blend in with the tile Our bathroom tile grout looks horrible too. It looks like it's dirty, some areas worse than others but our wall grout is clean and looks good. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the grout not having a sealant on it? No expert so no idea. I'm glad our feature tiles were discontinued. Definitely a lot happier with our current choice over our original. Your bathroom is looking good too btw. bleaky - Glad to hear it! Oh found another bug bear… our taps for the washing machine are so far away from the washing machine that they are as tight as can be. So the powerpoint is in the correct place on the right side of the cabinet, the cabinet is positioned fine to the left of the powerpoint and then right down on the bottom left hand corner of the cabinet are the machine taps. Seriously now… Don't tradies think?? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 10776May 05, 2016 12:02 am Thanks Bleaky and Redwynne. It's grout matched to the tile Redwynne. It's supposed to look like that where all the dark tiles are. Hopefully the white dust on the floor in the bathrooms come off properly when they do the final clean up https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 10777May 05, 2016 6:46 am Redwynne sounds like mr grout painter needs to come back ... Our bathrooms were the same. No amount of cleaning will get it right, but feel free to try. Then put it on the 90 day list & insist on the painting! Need a pic of that tap issue in the laundry ... You've lost me! Tiling looks fantastic Mgardz, i too love that niche tile! Bleaky your stools/chairs are gorgeous ... I'll refer it to our solicitor who is already helping sort out our stormwater easement issue. Might as well add to the cost for peace of mind. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Mgardz - So if I don't specify the colour of grout it's meant to be matched to the tile?? Not in our place it isn't. Only the white tile has been. Can those with completed tiling confirm this please as I'm not happy and want it changed and not at my cost. Whilst on the topic of tiles, does anyone have a toilet on its own with a basin in the room? Do you have a tile or two above the basin? Thanks We are in the pre contract stage with Masterton Homes and conerned about the cost of hydraulics.
