Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 25, 2013 1:49 am Just wanted to get an opinion.. Was wondering if our roof tiles in a certain spot have been installed properly? ("Elabana" roof tiles). As you can see in this pic, the part of the roof tile that isn't coloured is facing towards the front. It's as if it's been installed back to front? Does this seem right? I'm not exactly sure myself either though it seems odd but I could be wrong. Our PCI is this Friday and not sure whether or not it's correct so I can bring it up. What does everyone think? Re: Roof tiles installed incorrectly? 4Jun 25, 2013 8:13 am To add to the previous posters, for the benefit of anyone who doesn't like this look and would like to avoid it, you can get coloured concrete roof tiles, ie: the concrete is coloured all the way through, though obviously it costs more (and is probably not an option for the OP at this point). Re: Roof tiles installed incorrectly? 5Jun 25, 2013 9:37 am Wasn't there a painter that painted your exhaust fan things on the roof? We had one, he matched everything on the roof to the colour of the roof in a glossy paint. he also paibted the ventilation pipe. It wouldn't be a big deal to Get him back to paint the white on the tiles. I'm surprised they didn't do it already, definitely mention it. This would remove some of the whiteness but it will dull over time as the concrete tiles absorbs contaminants from the air. I think it's still white. Re: Roof tiles installed incorrectly? 8Jun 26, 2013 12:01 pm Cool, might be worth just enquiring with your SS about the white tiles so he makes sure the painter gets it painted when he comes to do your exhausts.
