Can you add a door afterwards, eg. to ensuite or home theatre if you change your mind later about not having doors? Or structurally is it too late once built?

Or structurally is it too late once built? I have not added doors in our WIR. Contemplating on whether to do it later, or do it now. I haven't signed contracts yet so could do a post tender variation. To those who have WIRs - did you have doors on them? What type? Wonder if they also do barn door type sliding doors? We have none on ensuite but we moved entrance back to wardrobe in master. So should be ok. But I'm thinking now maybe the home theatre which will be a rumpus for the kids should have had a door. We are past contracts now. Fine though if it can be done later though if noise is an issue. We have no doors on WIR and actually now I'm in a rental with sliding doors on cupboards I'm kinda glad we left them without doors. Just can't hide kids mess! I'll just hope we won't need to add a door later as can't be bothered really. Re: Arden Developments 1549Oct 01, 2017 11:14 pm dave398 I've added cavity sliders to our WIR's. Barn style doors are easy to add on after. I'm considering putting a barn style door on our master ensuite. Prob would have been good to have a door for noise, hindsight is a wonderful thing Re: Arden Developments 1554Oct 02, 2017 8:50 am Well, I just added doors after doors and thought am I gone mad looking at the costs - there is hardly any place without a door in my house - Oh - Yes - I wanted a door to the staircase - only authorised people allowed upstairs follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Arden Developments 1555Oct 02, 2017 9:02 am geminithinker Has anyone had a quote for a barn style surface sliding door ? @geminithincker I added the theatre sliding door (aluminium and glass) and it was around $1829 _________________________________________ Regards Manj https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88256 Re: Arden Developments 1556Oct 02, 2017 3:52 pm Bad news all Jeeta's site supervisor has resigned. :/ Follow our Arden Toulouse build at http://ardentoulouse.blogspot.com.au Re: Arden Developments 1557Oct 02, 2017 3:57 pm geminithinker dave398 I've added cavity sliders to our WIR's.
