Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 357Sep 27, 2013 4:17 pm Hi firsthome, understand the 'impatiently waiting' , we always seem to get emails etc. late on Friday afternoon so fingers crossed you will receive something very soon. Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 358Sep 28, 2013 7:10 pm Happy Weekend everyone, We are also doing the impatiently waiting thing. Our first plan came in way too big (almost 34 squares) from the original 31 square Sierra so it was back to the drawing board, literally, and now we await version 2. Just a question for all, please let me know where you guys have located your power points in your island bench (particularly with waterfall edge) and in your glass splashback. Many thanks Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 359Sep 30, 2013 11:03 am Hi Big Mama, I was also wondering the same thing, we are also having a waterfall egde island bench and I have been thinking about a good place to have the power point. Might go and have a look at few display homes to get an idea unless someone can suggest a good spot. Speaking of display homes I went and had a look at Kurmonds 3 new displays in Kellyville. We are building the Glenleigh, which was amazing, I particularly loved the wallpaper along side the stair case, the Allure colour scheme was also another winner for me (not too sure about the water feature). Surprisingly I fell in love with the Ruby! If we weren't building a 2 storey home I would definitely be building the Ruby. For a single storey home it was very, very, spacious and the layout was well thought out. Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 360Sep 30, 2013 5:33 pm Another Glenleigh, seems to be a popular one, but they all are so different. We have changed our kitchen to be a U Shape in the Glenleigh wit the sink under the window with a serving window to the alfresco. So, our power points will be on the wall near the sink. On the other side I was thinking the power points I might ask for them to be on the side walls of the kitchen so you don't see them along the back splash back. Think it will look sleeker. Regarding benches, have seen some nifty options for power points, one where it is reversible, when you flip it out pops the PowerPoint then flip it back and it is your bench again. Otherwise have seen them on the side of the waterfall, or in a drawer pop out. Lots of options all with varying costs, comes down $$$ We are now up to internals, picked carpets, tiles. Have booked sentential for next week. Electrician, stairs and then final internal meeting. Going in this week to pick up some samples to help us decide. So hard from the pictures. Good luck on your plans, make sure you get them 100% before you sign. It will cost you more later. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
