Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4826May 22, 2017 11:16 pm Im so over this whole process , super annoyed i took work off to move when they told me too and now i have waster 4 weeks of annual leave. Feel like they should pull there finger out when it comes to the communication. I handed all my documents on friday to organise the vaulted and apparently the bank gets 3 to 5 working days before they have to contact the valuator , and then the valuation gets done in 3 to 5 working day, wish they would get their whizz together Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4827May 23, 2017 3:52 pm Tayleeh fingers crossed for you. Any progress today? One more question re the Darbecca inspection/ did you attend the inspection or left it all to the inspector? So I will be having the slab/frame inspection by Darbecca hopefully at the end of this week. My question is if there are any issues/defects that are identified by Darbecca are they meant to be ALL fixed by Homebuyers? And do they before the next stage?. I just want to know what to expect. Some of the issues weren't fixed before they moved on.I had issues from frame inspection only to be fixed at final. They'll just tell you that it would be fixed. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4835May 26, 2017 11:30 pm Atherbogan Kossie daniiiurb90 Hello everyone! I have been reading this forum for some time but only recently signed up! We are purchasing our house and land package (the Vibe 25) in Officer this week! We are first home buyers and I am incredibly nervous about EVERYTHING but have found the information on here to be so helpful. So thank you!! Welcome.Where about in Officer? Hey Kossie, how is your build going. have the issues been issued Welcome Daniiiurb90 in other news my build is starting tommorow, siteworks. Thank you for the welcome. Sorry for the delay in response, we had a few hiccups securing the land! We are building in Arcadia 😊 a long wait for titling now sadly! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4836May 26, 2017 11:32 pm Atherbogan Kossie So last week I had a chat with our SS about our driveway being a bit lighter in colour. I hope it all gets sorted soon! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4837May 29, 2017 12:59 pm The frustration doesn't seem to end and we haven't even got titles yet. Our contracts state that we need unconditional finance by the 10th of June. Bank has given us conditional approval pending valuations. The land developer wont allow our bank on the land until just before titling in July as it's still a construction site. It's not looking like the developer is going to allow us to extend the clause given that we can't get on the land. The worst part is we went on and looked at the land on the weekend. Gutters are in place, the pegs are on the property, but the road is still gravel, but flattened out. Our mortgage broker is freaking out over it, which is freaking me out. The sales person at the land office said that we would just have to move on with conditional, but after the 10th of July, would no longer be eligible for a refund if something goes wrong with the financing. Anyone else run into similar issues? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4838May 29, 2017 9:04 pm Yep same thing happened to me. Because the land title date kept getting delayed I needed to go unconditional knowing that I was risking my deposits if anything went wrong. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4839May 29, 2017 10:25 pm Yes we had to go unconditional a month after we signed (Bought block in Nov 2016). Our conveyancer read contract and said it just meant if we couldn't get a loan we would lose our deposit which was 5%. But our broker got us a pre approval so we aren't too worried. We were supposed to title May/June and that was put back 2 months... but after seeing block yesterday not much hope .
