On the weekend we went shopping in preparation for the impending move. Got a new toy box for the little man and bookshelves for the kids, Ella has herself a new bedside and tallboy, a couch I have had my eye on for over a year, a magnificent 15 place dishwasher and microwave (stainless steel Westinghouse that matches perfectly with our Westinghouse oven and rangehood) and the rest of our lights. I was pretty happy with that, gave me some excitement. Then I went past the house this morning and there were 3 vans out the front. I have never seen so much action there. Then I got a call from our site supervisor in the afternoon saying the painter had finished inside, the aircon/heating was going in today and the cleaners were there too. THEN the most exciting news of all....... we are booked in for PCI next Wednesday! I don't think I need to explain my excitement right now. I can't wait! Went past this afternoon and it all looks so good. Was awesome seeing my kitchen benches without the dusty plastic on them. I have pictures of everything. I will post them up later tonight. My computer pooped itself and I'm waiting for my dad to take me computer shopping cause he knows about that stuff. Thank god it's uni holidays. Just popping past to say PCI went without a hitch. They had gotten the plaster off the cupboard. Only things wrong was 1 paint touch up, a join between kitchen bench and wall needs to be fixed up and our hand towel holder is missing in our bathroom. It took a long time but the quality of workmanship, I can't really fault. An upside to the wait. Best of all, handover is booked for Monday (happy dances all round here). Really looking forward to getting in there and painting up the feature walls in the bedrooms and bathroom and tiling Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. No major issues other than the concrete driveway, a few small ones like missing towel rails and taps and the bathroom mirror! The workmanship looks generally very good, just wishing they hadn't done my concrete. Glad to hear yours also went well. They are not too reliable with towel rails LOL. That's great! They must have hurried up a bit then finally? Pity about the concrete. Any handover dates yet? Or is the concrete problem holding that up? What did they do wrong? We got our concrete done through builder and they did a great job. Disappointing that you did not get the same. Congrats tasha. Move in day is awesome!! Re: Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA - PCI BOOKED FINALLY 336Jul 03, 2014 3:07 pm So happy for you both, Tasha and Jennifer (except for the concrete, but I'm sure they'll fix whatever is wrong). Re: Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA - PCI BOOKED FINALLY 337Jul 09, 2014 5:26 pm Hey guys, as expected we got our keys Monday. It was incredibly exciting but we are already so tired! We spent days organising last minute things before and we have been absolutely flat out since. Mick has started the tiling and is doing an amazing job! We have used the lounge in the Lawson display as inspiration and are doing a striped pattern with silver, pearl white and pearl blue. Got some pictures of the other rooms though. I'll warn you, while my selections were very safe my colour schemes with paint are the absolute opposite haha Our sons room URL=http://s1287.photobucket.com/user/tasha_is_clueless/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsd17def37.jpg.html] Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ [/URL] Main bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our daughters room Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We were also going to do our family room with a red wall but there are red doors on our tv unit, red on our ottoman, red kitchen accessories and it just would have been too much.
