Hi everyone,
I'm planning on laying sandstone pavers over a largeish (6mx4m) area. Google has provided me with a range of ways to do this
* traditional morter base ( just like internal tiling )
* using a thin layer of sand to prep the base ( I don't think this is required as the base is smooth and level already)
* only morter the edge pavers and float the middle
* morter none of the pavers as the area is locked by raised edges all around so if cut correctly they should just sit there
Based on only experience laying internal tiles and vertical stacked stone, I was going to favour the traditional morter method, just lay a thin bed of elastic cement and lay them out using a straight edge to get a consistent height.
So throwing it open to the HomeOne'ers what do you guys think sounds reasonable?
