Hi Donavansdaily, I just saw the damage caused by the leaks. EEEeeeeks! I reall do feel for you. Like you, when I see things like that, I ask myself how on earth can these things happen.
When I talked to my SS the other day, he mentioned that each stage goes through at least 4 checks - by him, manager, and 2 inspectors; and this begs the question whether it is true or people that aren't doing their job; or to give them the benefit of the doubt, these things might be hard to single out until later stages.
Still, I believe Boutique should find a way to prevent these things from happening. Just like a fellow homeone commenter put it, the worst thing that can happen to your house after a house fire is having leaks where everything rot where the extent of the damage is hard to determine and is only found out much later. Good thing Boutique provides 25 year structural warrantee.
I also think Boutique should impose big fines on those contractors who aren't up to their task. These guys taint Boutique's reputation and ruin the customer experience. Same as you Donovansdaily, my build hasn't been perfect to say the least, and I think it is progressing only because I have been lenient and accept to let a few things go. Hopefully, the final picture will be much more positive!
