Hi Szep
We had about 4 site cleans to date and one was a little after lock-up stage then about a month later they remove the temp fencing and scraped the site of top soil and debris.

Tv and couch is the main thing haha. Im a bit of a decor addict so i had to do it all right away haha. You will get all the end of financial year sales now!! Re: Boutique Homes 1269Jun 18, 2015 12:14 pm PetaJ Hi Ozden. - I love the look of polished concrete and we were thinking abput doing it too... the few down falls and reasons we decided not to are that it leaves the home looking very cold and is quite cold to walk on even more so than tiles. Tina - we love our tiles i think ours are cat 3 or maybe not i cant really remember but they are porcelain and come in matt or gloss. We went with gloss. They come in other colours but we went woth blue stone and they are just stunning. Always getting complements on them. As far as flooring goes... we went with utf provisial smokey dusk. Absolutely love floor boards and feel of them under foot... the colour looks amazing and i really like it more than tiles for a open living area.. gives a real warm and homely feel... the downside for us has been that whoever laid these has done a terrible job... they must not have filled the dints in concrete before laying them and we have boards thats arent sitting flush and when you stand on them sink in at some spots. We had a flood in our hallway after move in and the ones they replaced there are good but still even one of them is dipping in. We have someone boutique has organised from utf coming down again to inspect... bit they need to fix these.. once they do il be much more happy with them because they do look beautiful. Hi PetaJ your home is lovely and absolutely stunning styling, good job on it. Yes I read about your post in regards to the floorboards and hopefully its all fixed now. Polished concrete does look amazing and I completely understand about the whole home looking cold but I am getting a white based concrete effect. Boutique got back to me and said I have to have wet area's tiled to get a certificate of occupancy so I just took it further and spoke with the building surveyor of Boutique and they advised that they can actually provide a certificate of occupancy without having the wet area's tiled. Now I am waiting on Boutique to see if they will offer the option of me paying extra for the surveyor to comply with the standards to achieve the polished concrete. Re: Boutique Homes 1270Jun 18, 2015 3:10 pm Hey guys - new to this forum, but enjoying reading everyone's updates and experiences. Me and my wife are just about to begin building an Airlie 33 in Croydon, VIC. We just got the building permit from Boutique, and are getting handed over to construction as of the 1st of July. Very exciting times. Will try and update our progress in some threads here =) Re: Boutique Homes 1271Jun 18, 2015 8:33 pm Hey PetaJ your house looks bloody awesome!!! Love the interiors. Amazing work. If you are not an interior designer then you should probably think again about your career I have told you this before as well & I'm telling you again that we are very inspired from your decoration & have decided to do Scandinavian style for our house as well. We are also building Oslo 24 & our flooring is smoky dusk like yours. There is so much similarity in both of our selections, the cabinets, double shower & many more. BTW what's the width of your double shower? Is it 1.5M? Yes im pretty sure its 1.5 meters... its big and beautiful hehe. Re: Boutique Homes 1275Jun 18, 2015 9:49 pm Shellzmac Hi Szep..they will do a site clean up before handover..however u will find tiles, broken bricks and rubbish buried underneath the dirt...found so much currently landscaping Hi shellzmac, thanks for the info. Hopefully they don't bury stuff on our block. They made a pretty big point when we signed up that they, under no circumstances, leave any building rubish behind. Did you call boutique since you've found the rubish and asked them to clean it up? Petaj, your house looks amazing! We are hoping to be in come October! That puts us just about 2 years since we signed our PWC! Long journey, but we are getting so close! Re: Boutique Homes 1278Jun 19, 2015 12:34 pm free_hugs PetaJ where did you get the birds from that you've used on the walls? Love what you've done with your house. You have excellent taste! Thanks free_hugs i got the birds from spot light in the homewares section they came in black anf white. It was a while ago hopefully they still have them. Thank you! !!!! Boutique Homes 1279Jun 19, 2015 6:36 pm Hi guys, sorry to harp on, but putting up some photos to see if this is a normal amount of rubish on site. I know a lot of people said their sites were messy, but I'm trying to judge what is too much. On another note, our ss has left the company....no wonder nothing has happened in 2+ weeks! Re: Boutique Homes 1280Jun 21, 2015 12:16 pm Has anybody else had concerns with the order of signing HIA at Boutique? As in signing HIA before doing colours and electrical. Obviously you can rack up a few $$ in colours and electrical quite easily. We've allowed a little but would be good to get a full figure before signing HIA, also fixing site costs? Anybody been able to do this once the engineering report comes in?
