Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 31, 2012 10:00 pm Hi all, What's the go with replacing a toilet on a house with earthenware pipes, my house was built 1960. I presume the waste pipe is earthenware too and not steel like the laundry, kitchen and bathroom waste? How does the pan come apart from this type of collar and what needs to be done/modified to the waste and collar to suit a modern pan? Thanks Re: Replacing toilet with earthenware waste 2Sep 22, 2012 6:39 pm I assume the toilet is on an exterior wall. If so dig down to the branch on the main sewer line. Remove the branch and replace with SWV pipe (PVC).
