I also thought that this was odd, however was told by the builder that it was normal and then had brother who is a bricklayer also told me that its common and not to worry about it. They don't have the bricks touching the window frames for a reason However, the defects mentioned above all sound like problems that you would want fixed. Unless the builder can provide a very good reason why it doesn't need fixing.
