The costs for the drop edge beams were similar at $8k from both MH and Coral. Re: Piering help needed. 5Jul 21, 2012 10:05 pm We have a P class slab and had 80lm allowance, we had quitebablot of fill as our land used to be a musket garden, so lots of lovely soil. We ended up with 60lm extra piering, we have a 600mm step through the middle of the house, instead of DEB, it still ended up having piers averaging over 2m. This is for a two storey, so not sure if it makes a difference. We were up for about 4k in extra piering costs. I'm guessing if we don't have DEB then we will have to retain the 850mm fill they have to move to the back to make slab level also. Where the 850mm of cut and fill (fill part) is, will be on top of 3 meters of fill already so wonder if that means the piers at the back corner of the house area will be at least 3.85 meters deep plus what they have to go into the natural soil....all i can see is a money pit in these darn pier holes...grrrrrrrrrr Hi All, I engaged a tradie to install concrete retaining wall 600-800mm high over 32 meters in Victoria. Sleepers are 200*75*2000 mm installed over 17 steel posts. I… 0 6917 Building Standards; Getting It Right! Don't think they are designed for double brick.
