We wanted a small tree at the back (next to the fence) that does not have big roots and will be fairly small. I don't know if upto 2.5-3m will be small. Anyway, if you have any suggestions, would appreciate it very much. There's aesthetic and practical considerations to consider really. On slightly more helpful note though, don't just plant something because it fits in with the maximum height and root spread that you're looking for.
