If there are things in the contract that are not right then tell them to change it before you sign. If they don't change tell them you you go to another builder. Don't be pressured into signing something which you do not feel comfortable with. All plans and contacts are on cumputer and they can make the changes in a matter of a couple of hours (at the most). We were being asked to sign a contract that did not conform to our changes so we refused. They soon enough made the changes. At the completion of our build we were asked to sign a PCI when there were certain things were not completed. Because we wanted to get access to the property to allow our timber floor to be laid we signed on their promise that all would be rectified within a week. I wish we hadn't because once they got our final payment we had little leverage to get the work completed. Wish you the best.
