Re: Apue's home building 371Dec 25, 2012 8:10 pm kikichan Big big congratulations for your beautiful homes So happy for you and your families When will you move in? Hi. We'll move on 31st of December! I hope there will be no rain on that day. We really want the landscape is done, all the yard is muddy and hard to move around. Are you doing landscaping yourselves? We still have some landscaping to do. Most people take a while to get it all done, so don't stress yourself. It is hard with kids though I know. I expect it will be hard to get landscapers in before next year. Maybe use timber planks to make path way to front door if you haven't got a driveway or path yet. Hi Zenners, I've been da*n busy to packing and sorting out our stuff let alone tidying up the rental APT. Our driveway and crossover concrete done before moved in. Luckily the retaining wall is done but putting turf and hard surface need to be done. We love the house, I can feel every touch when I designed the plan with Jerue. The experience is awesome. I found myself I became a king since the size of the house is far greater than the previous APT. It's pretty exhausting to find the tablet when I left somewhere and couldn't find. My wife started complaining it's too tough to clean the house. While we're living here we found a few issues as I imagine they're common for new house. 1. when no one was here, the mirror in main bath dropped so it scattered. Luckily no one got injured. 2. The toilet water doesn't drain well. The water drains slowly, we definitely need to investigate. 3. One toilet is leaking water (tiny bit) Other things are rather minor so we can live comfortably. I post a few photos. Oh yes, I started shopping and bought a 60inch TV, sofa, fridge etc. Powder room next to study room. Not only the router performs poorly but the connection is also unstable so we can't use for streaming. I spent more hours to troubleshoot the network issue than unpacking the stuff. But I LOVE the photos!! Well done. Your stripey tiles are a bit different - nice touch. After all the discussion on here with your kitchen location, great to see the photos - love the way it is near the alfresco and the northern light into the living area looks lovely. Well done!!! Sounds like you have a few issues to be rectified, but nothing too major. It will all happen in good time. Sorry to hear of your network problems that seems to be the norm. Re the cleaning did you get the ducted or robot vacumm, was it you thinking about these? I have bought a robot vacumm arriving any day now, can't wait to see what it can do. I want it just for the downstairs which is tiled, with 2 dogs, a cat, & the back yard still dirt, I seem to be forever on the end of a broom. Re: Apue's home building 379Jan 13, 2013 8:34 pm The Tel$tra cable issue is fixed. (hopefully). The technician came to my place twice and he replaced the cable, then the drop out issue seemed disappeared. Today I've experience BAD experience in plumbing work. Guess what? Lots of water came out from powder room's waste and we just managed to stop damaging the timber floor. You can imagine how much I was alarmed when I saw lots of water was coming out from the center waste of the powder room's room. As I mentioned earlier my toilet drains slowly from Day1. I didn't bother Zen's people since I thought it is manageable. When I called the Zen's plumber tonight, he seems to regard we blocked the pipe! I hope Zen can send someone to fix the plumbing issue. It's funny that we never experience the drainage issue with the other toilet. Only the problem happens on powder and ensuite toilets. We have a leak in the ensuite which has damaged the ceiling in the dining/family room, it is not major & we stopped using the ensuite. The guys were supposed to come as soon as they start up after the break, I am hoping that is tomorrow. We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds.
